I can't even log into my account because of some stupid authenticator thing that is on there that i didn't even do!

would be nice if it was cross buy.

Not with just those titles ...

It's actually called 'Origin Access'

I didn't like that name. We'll know it now purely as "EA Access for PC".

Tempting, not bad for 3.99 a month. Thanks for the post Buzz

Not really worth it, you can get most of these cheaper for the full game. I guess if you wanted it for Dragon Age then it would be good.

Wouldn't have seen this without this post. Thanks

£4 a month. No. Maybe if you can eventually find 12 month codes for like <£15 like Xbone has and a few more titles it'll be worth it

Wow, great find Buzz, guess what I will be doing after the exams!

Got *Most. Voted hot

Ah didn't see dragon age though.
Will wait to see on yearly sub.

If this shared with the Xbox subscription awesome, not paying twice for it tho, and cheap as that sounds! Good price just to try some of the games tho

Is this shared with Xbox?

In US EA Access is $4.99 equivalent to £3.46 so every year they get 2 extra months every year... I wonder is the proxy thingy works with Access so we will get it down to £2-£3 from Mexico.

It does worth it in my opinion, decent games in library(Battlefield 3 and 4, Simcity, Dragon age Inquisition) plus they are saying they will keep adding more. The downside is that I already own half of the games there but It is still very tempting.

It could be a good idea but what with all the sales/giveaways and everything else I would expect a lot of people probably own the majority of those games and aren't too bothered about the ones they don't have. May prove useful but PC gaming is quite cheap if you buy the keys elsewhere.

Interesting.... Shame it doesn't include more titles but I haven't played bf 3 or 4, dragon age, simcity or fifa. As above if a discount code comes up I'll bite

Would love it if steam did something similar

Nope completely separate, the PC version costs more but actually offers less recent titles (as Xbox has more sports titles that aren't on PC)

EA Access is £19.99 a year, unfortunately no annual option for Origin Access though

EA, just say no.

Expected to see the C&C and Mass Effect franchises as a bare minimum.
Their opening offer seems rather slim but not a bad short-term deal if you're new to PC gaming.

this is a good deal, shame i own most of these games or newer ones, i how cd keys sell it to at cheaper price

It might be good in a year's time, but seems pretty limited at launch. A lot of those titles have been in humble bundles already and they are old enough that most people will already own the good ones.

EA doing something good?! What?!

I think it's a good deal - the line up is more appealing to me than the sports heavy Xbox One selection. Alas, that does mean I already have most of the ones I would get this for. But I agree it'd be a good way to try a lot of decent games if you're new to PC gaming.

I guess whether the subscription model is sensible generally depends on how often you play. There's a couple of hundred hours of gameplay in the Dragon Age games alone - if that'd take you a couple of months, then that's pretty good value for money IMO. If they'd end up being the only games you had time to play all year, it's probably not the route for you...

crying?

Its a disappointing starting list, but can only echo some others in that it could prove promising.

Not sure what I think of this - I'd like to say that I prefer to own the games myself, however, these days most games are only good while the platform exists (or at least in its current guise).. so not sure.

Not content with spreading toxic crap on consoles EA attempts to move it to PC.

Thankfully Steam exists.

I think PC gaming is a bit more robust, especially considering the interest in older games these days, aided by things like GoG.com and other companies. I mean, I have games on my Origin account that are 20+ years old (e.g. Wing Commander games, Syndicate, Ultima VII).

I get that it's nice to own them, and some on the list have more replay/long term value, but others (e.g. Battlefield: Hardline or Garden Warfare) might just be worth a couple of month or two spin while they've got reasonably active online communities.

Which is one of the best things about PC gaming - ultimate backwards compatibility. Even if the OS is too new you can easily emulate an older one.

I own most of the games on the list but this is HOT. I would love for this to have been out before i spent money on unwanted games.

meh, not good value over the cost for a year. If EA add some better games I'd consider it.

If it was £20 a year I would get this.

Worth it for me personally to pickup and binge on Dead space for 1-2 months. Hope mass effect comes also.

it's not very good. £48 over the year compared to xbox one £20 one time payment. If they bring out a yearly sub it will be decent.

I picked up those older dead space and dragon age games for about £2-3 each from Game ages ago as well.

Kinda. Moonbugs is pretty unplayable on modern PCs ;p

Alleycat is a programming marvel though. Works on ANY PC in a dosbox environment without the need of any programmes to slow things down

I haven't seen this before? How long do the games usually last on EA Access, do they just pull the game out when ever they feel like it?

I had this issue yesterday as well, I ended up phoning them and sorting it over the phone. Change the authentication to email, after you phone them! Do it on the phone as it asks you for the code more than once!

dosbox.com/com…r=M

Seems like people are saying it works in DOSBox 0.61.
