£2.99 for these ear defenders - good for fireworks night - although adult size they are pretty tight and fit snuggly on my 3 and 4 year old sons heads....much cheaper than the kids ear defenders at £10-£15 on amazon and ebay

Ear defenders??? What sort of fireworks have you got????
LOL @ ear defenders
Work brilliantly though when used in conjuction with a blindfold (available from Ann Summers I believe) .... perfect solution !

Now you don't hear the fireworks or see them ... RESULT , right ?

I bet Bonfire Night is a right laugh in your house !

for kids sensitive ears - we're going to a big display and they always moan about them being too loud - at least with these they can't complain!

Thankfully, mine are a little older - but when the kids are little they hate the loud noises but love seeing the fireworks. One year, paid a fortune for us all to watch a display - kids got so tired and miserable, we went back to the car so they could sleep - and me and dad and eldest daughter stood outside the car and watched them (yes and this was from the street where every tom, dick and harry could have seen them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) So nice idea OP

we really are becoming a nation of softies if people wear ear defenders at a firework display. Like going to watch a film and switching the audio off!

Some fireworks are 120db which is the same as being at a rock concert or a chainsaw going.

These reduce the decibels by about 25db.

90-95db is the same as a lawn mower or hair dryer...

For kids ears which can be sensitive this is a great - as a parent I know I'm protecting their hearing,

Trust me they'll have a great time, they'll feel the heat from the bonfire, feel, see and hear the fireworks but it won't damage their hearing!!

True. I will share this deal with my fellow autism mummies. My Daughter is autistic and uses these for visits to theme parks, concerts and festivals etc ...
Heat added - Wish I'd had a pair of these when I was a kid, can't hear a bloody thing now !
