I suggest the one at Wadebridge in Cornwall. New and clean and overlooking the valley ... Tesco 5 miinutes away and a nice restaurant with affordable menu... I went there last year ... The best travelodge I have ever been! :3:D
Tamworth central is good, especially for getting to Drayton Manor and Thomas Land. It's above a Lidl, opposite Frankie and Bennies and up the road from an industrial estate with loads. No on site restaurant but with everything nearby, you don't need it.
Searched in October and cheapest was £30
If we're adding recommendations I'll throw Bracknell Central into the hat. Stayed there a few weeks ago, place has just had a refurb and for the price you can't complain.

Ideal for Legoland, 24hr bar / restaurant and plenty of parking.

Just be careful with travelodge, their standards vary hugely. Some are complete pits - Wembley and M4 Reading Westbound are two I've had the misfortune to stay at.
Stayed in plenty over the years (family of 5/6 at times), although most of the time they weren't aware of the extra 2 kids. All we were doing was getting our heads down for the night before heading off to various theme parks/attractions, like Alton Towers, London Eye, Tussauds, etc. No complaints, especially at these prices. Too many different ones partaken to recommend, but get booking and take advantage. I like the sound of the one in Cornwall (comment 1), since the kids won't be there any more any the missus and myself can have a nice cheap relaxing break for a change. Thanks for the heads up OP. Cornwall, here I come! X)
I recommend Ramsgate Harbour. Excellent travelodge with Sea views. Very close to beach, bars, restaurants and high street.
Been using them for winter breaks since they started at £9 a night. Portsmouth (North End), Chichester & Chievely are good, Fleet feels grubby and in dire need of refurbishment. All the others we have been to were O.K.
4.2% topcashback at the moment.
Don't forget if you want to pay by credit card, do it via paypal to avoid the fees.

Thanks - just booked a night for our family to visit Legoland.
It should be fine between October and January... I had a stay in Bath last week when the room was extremely hot, no aircon, the window wouldn't open for security reasons and no fans were provided (apparently there were 4 available in total, 2 were broken, 2 taken and a waiting list for them). Bit of a shambles, really.

However, I've also stayed in one of the newly refurbished ones recently, that was much more modern, with all the amenities you'd expect (including aircon), much more comfortable overall.

I'm not sure why. I've asked Mods if they can unexpire.
The Travelodge website is horrendously slow for me these days.
I don't use them much anyway now since they stopped doing £12-15 sales. Rarely do I even find a £21 deal for a time and place I need.

Yes, it's hardly worth bothering with the "sales" these days. Long gone are the £9, £2 & £15 offers.

If you book a while ahead (but not as long ahead as you need to with the sales) you can regularly get the rooms you want for £20 - £30 anyway, without having to wake up at 6am and spend hours trying to use TL's treacle website.
looked at a travelodge in central Glasgow last week for 31st August. Worked out cheaper staying in the Hilton oO via expedia so I have done that

The Gatwick TL we stayed at is also on an industrial estate, but unfortunately without the advantages you had at Tamworth. Also the Gatwick 'restaurant' closed for new bookings before we arrived at 9.30pm so it was back to McDonalds (urgh) which was also closing at 10pm except drive through.
I got a couple of nights for Newcastle Under Lyme of the Oct half term for Alton Towers. Hot deal....though I have never thought to post these myself but should have

Agree with you there, bath was a nightmare for us. Night club and pubs all around it, kept the kids awake too!

Same here. It is a bit strange to be getting £21 for top season like half-term and Xmas but more during other times???
Anyone know which one is closest and best for Alton Towers??
Aberdeen is still £50 a night in xmas
Any opinions on Manchester Airport ones would be very helpful - thanks!

I'd recommend the one in East Didsbury rather than the airport one. It's usually cheaper, a lot nicer decor wise and SO SO MUCH QUIETER. And the train station is practically outside the hotel and it takes you to the airport in a few minutes. Obviously check there are trains to get you to/from the airport in time.

Stayed in lots of Travelodges when on the road with my band. The general rule I follow is to avoid any 'motorway' Travelodges. It's just not worth it. Sleep in your car if you have to.

Peterborough Travelodge is lovely too. Probably one of the nicest I've stayed in.
Hi does anyone know when the offer ends? Or when i need to book the rooms by?
As I am looking to book and plan a holiday between march-June 2014? (Very long time away I know)
You mean the Travelodge was cheaper than the Hilton?! I'm absolutely shocked...

Thanks LadyofD, just what I was after. Booked Didsbury for October - family room £34, can't complain
Hi, could anyone recommend a Travelodge in London for 1 night. Got family going back to SA and need 2 rooms?
The Newcastle Upon Tyne( central) is a corker ! lol

stayed in lots of travelodges worst by far was slough where we spent the night worried our car would be stolen and listened to the drug dealers outside the window !!!! also although clean saltash in cornwall doesnt have much to offer ...blackpool southshore was clean and right next to the funfair .....
