A good Tesco points earning opportunity @ Large Tesco instore, possible to earn 10,000 Tesco Clubcard points for £100 (or £5 for 500 points)

Tesco is offering 500 bonus Clubcard points when you pre-order ‘Call of Duty : Advanced Warfare’, Destiny’ . ‘Destiny Infinity 2.0′. ‘Fifa 15′ or ‘Battlefield Hardline’ for £5 instore.

The 500 bonus Clubcard points are credited with the pre-order payment. You have no obligation to actually go back to the store and buy the game on the day of release.

You need to be careful not to overdo this promotion. It is acceptable to buy one copy of each game one each format per Clubcard. For each of the five games that means you could do a pre-order for the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 versions, getting yourself 10,000 Clubcard points.

To summarise:

- Visit the video games corner in a large Tesco store
- Pick out empty ‘pre-order’ cases for any of the five games listed above, across any of the four formats
- Pay £5 at check-out for each empty case you hand over. Do not take the case home.
- Your till receipt should show the 500 bonus points
-Do NOT buy exactly the same game twice on the same Clubcard, whether in the same transaction or in different transactions. If you do that you have crossed the Tesco bulk buying line and could get your points cancelled.

Edit 23:52 12/06:

The barcodes posted above mean that its possible to pay for these games at a self-service check-out in any Tesco store (except Express) by manually inputting the bar code. Only issue is that the games are age restricted so a checkout supervisor would be required to approve the purchase. Here are most of the barcodes:

Yes - This deal is for people who want a cheap way of boosting their clubcard points £5 spend for 500 points (instore larger Tesco)

You could also combine the Amex statement credit offer currently £10 spend with £5 credit

Why limit is £100?

very good

Read again.......

5 games 4 formats = 20 times £5 = £100 (_;)

Thanks OP - good idea but I think when you wrote "You need to be careful not to overdo this promotion" you are aware of the greed of some of the HUKD users and I suspect there might be a small minority who might ruin this for the rest of us...

One of each game on each format. Bulk buying will get you no points

I wonder where you got the imagine and information from hmmmmm

Last time they offered this, someone on here went back to Tesco on release day and got a refund on the £5. He got to keep the points too. I'm not saying I condone this, but some of you may want to try.

BTW, Chanchi, are you a member of MSE elite?

If you really want the refund on the £5 you could buy all the games (with the £5 deposit taken off the full price) and then return them to get full price back right? Even if the £5 deposit itself is 'non-refundable'

I have bulk bought these before and actually bought them.

Traded them in at cex points have ended up costing me 4-5 points plus bought some points cheaper for live/psn

Reading over the previous times people have done this it aeems Tesco know what people are up to and revoke the points

Are Tesco not taking pre-orders for Disney Infinity 2 on the Wii U ? If they are, that's another 500 clubcard points.

What's the betting the game publishers are underwriting this to claim they've made sales...

why not make it even more enticing, sell the pre orders for £2.50 making it 10,000 points for £50.00

What's the betting the game publishers are underwriting this to claim they've made sales...

So basicly £5 for 500 points and no game?

So essentially;

A - You're investing £100 in Tesco for a potential 200% (up to 500% with clubcard boost) return on your investment
B - Having to go into the store after each of these games is released in order to get your initial investment back
C - Completely **** over the entire pre-order system, which is needed to try and allocate the correct number of copies for stores/area, which will result in too many games in circulation, flooding the market, likely bringing the price down.

Not sure if this is brilliant, or a sure-fire way to make sure publishers stop doing pre-orders and make getting games you want considerably harder in future.

Anyone know how competitve Tesco's prices are release day? (does it say at point of ordering?)

What are 500 points actually worth in GBP? £5?

It's a really good deal if you want the games as well, especially if the pre-orders are competitively priced

Varies greatly. Even a not very special offer like this:
2000 points will get you a 1 year subscription to a mag like Computer Shopper or PC Pro which is normally about £49

I'm going to preorder a few games to get this and if the price is reasonable on release, I'm going to follow up on some of them

Great deal

Given Tescos recent profit problems im 100% confident they wont be turning down all our £5ers. Cash in hand for no goods is a great deal for them, the back end of giving out clubcard vouchers just makes their clubcard scheme seem even more popular.

thats excellent as want some games myself as well even better, there usually cheapest

also great for days out. I've used Clubcard points for all the family to go to Longleat Safari and saved an absolute fortune.
Do not underestimate how good Clubcard points can be.

if dont mind paying for the games now can order online doing same thing

But when I look at the clubcard website everything is in terms of £ not points. So it says, for example, £40 voucher costs £20 clubcard points. So is there a conversion of £ spent to £ clubcard?

10,000 club card points is £100 - so you're getting nothing back, basically trading pounds to points then waiting for the 4x points boost.

are you saying can preorder them without going out and still get the 500 points?
if so do you have a link please? ( I know u can do it with infinity but interested in the others )

yes it does and use code
TDX-PRGM for a £5 off preorders but it means u have to keep the game

If you pre-order online you pay the day you order, as opposed to when dispatched.

There is a code showing on the gaming page for £5 off pre order games though, which would bring say the next COD game on Xbox One or PS4 to £39.99 also with an additional 500 free clubcard points.

Ordinarily you get 1 point for every £1 you spend at Tesco.

Normally every 100 points you earn is £1 to spend in store.

Generally you can give points back to Tesco in exchange for a voucher, which is normally of higher value than an instore purchase (Clubcard Boost). I.E 1000 points for a £40 voucher to eat out. 1000 points is the equivalent of £10 instore, but you get a £40 voucher.

good for getting cheap train tickets too from redspottedhanky - basically half price train tickets.

1 point = 1p
500 points = £5

Being greedy will result in your clubcard account being closed, and you'll lose all exisiting points and vouchers. It's happened many, many times before when people have pushed this too far.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I got a good deal on Blinkbox credit recently and I'm ibnterested in Ticketmaster vouchers as I go to gigs a lot.

I've just noticed loads of people on this thread all use lower case in the names!

cool.

If 10,000 = £100

This is then boosted to £400 club card points.

£400 clubcard points get you 100,000 air miles.

Save for taxes, this cover an upper class ticket on BA.

Too right, this 'scheme' serves only to do over genuine shoppers and gamers who want to play this at release, have some respect for others and don't bother.
