Just remember that you DON'T need the sachets.... to make great yogurt with this kit

PS.... is you Yog hurt
You can do it yourself.
All you need a tiny bit of live culture yogurt to use as a "seed", add it to some milk in a container and stick it in a warm airing cupboard overnight.

If you like mix the milk with any flavor you want before hand like vanilla pods, caramel etc

This look perfect if you don't have a warm spot in the house

How would you make it without the sachets? My husband would love this but he's tight and would moan about buying the sachets 🙄
Go to YouTube and type in " easiyo yogurt without the sachets"
there are lots of examples with or without a yogurt maker.......

Use some live yogurt culture (anything that says with live cultures on the tub) it needs to be plain with no added flavours.

If you can't be bothered to heat the milk and then let it come to temperature then use uht milk as it's already heat treated, that's what I do.
Once the yogurt has incubated you can strain it off using a sieve lined with kitchen paper to make Greek style yogurt.
Thx for reminding me we have 2 of these in the cupboard unopened, might give em a whirl, been on a skyr binge recently, wonder if I could make some of that

I got one of the 12 jar sets.
I keep the last jar as my starter & use UHT Milk.
So I end up with 11 jars each time.

They dont seem to sell my model anymore (was only £18)

Skyr is classed as Cheese - so could be a tad difficult!

You learn something new everyday
Agree the sachets are pricey. £5 for 3 sachets. Pretty sure yoghurt tubs are less than £1 at Aldi
We make ours in a slow cooker just 2 litres of blue milk, a tub of live starter yoghurt and fresh yoghurt in the morning, we also strain it to make Turkish style yoghurt.

Very nice thanks for the link
Sorry to do the proverbial on everyone's fireworks but isn't time better spent elsewhere rather than making your own yoghurt??!! I'm missing something I think...
