Ghee can be made by heating butter slowly until it stops bubbling and turns a golden colour. If you use a good butter such as 'anchor' it's far superior to this east end ghee

Love this on everything not local

Is there a high quality GHEE that can be bought even if only in Specialist shops?

The best I have ever used is 'Ancient Organics Ghee' although it's rather hard to get hold of.

Second what Coony said. Ghee is really easy to make. Lots of vids on the net. Lurpak makes lovely ghee.

Thanks I'll give it a try the "Ancient Organics Ghee" is American can't find a UK stockist so have asked them if they have any UK contact.

For Indian food cooking Anchor butter or ghee made from it is the best . If you don't agree with me then you haven't tried it or you have tried it but forgotten how good it really is .

Greasy!

No luck with "Ancient Organics Ghee" NO UK outlet

yeah but this works out much cheaper than making it yourself

2x250 g for £2.00 Anchor butter at Tesco at the moment is cheaper to make your own ghee.
