bargain oO8) wish I didn't have a fear of flying

Bring a tablet and pack it with a lot of movies or something that'll distract you!

I've only ever flown twice....first time had a ma-hoo-sive panic attack....second time got sedation from doc....gave up after that

If you feel that your fear is restricting you from going on holidays then something to consider is a fear of flying course, some airlines such as BA, Virgin etc run them

The only one I know someone has attended was fearlessflyer.easyjet.com/ and it was a success for them

Job done..Cheers OP..Lanzarote here I come...

I was going to suggest the same thing. Also, do notify the crew in your case. I'm a flight attendant myself and we're more than happy to help pax like you.

The price of accommodation in the canaries is prohibitively expensive these days. Don't think anyone goes to Egypt or North Africa so the islands are fit to burst at winter

oh it definitely restricts me....I am 47 and like I said I have only ever flown twice...once to reus and once to Las palmas....my other half was 50 last yr and has always wanted to go to New York and go up the empire state building...so I surprised him with a 5 days trip there but had to get his daughter to go with him

Yea prices have shot up in last year or 2.... need to get in very early to find cheaper accommodation.

I would definitely recommend checking out a fearless flyer programme to see if it would be something you'd be interested in, I have suggested to a few people before that dismissed it straightaway as they feel they're too bad to get over it but I don't believe that at all

There are still other modes of transportation to get on holidays but flying is almost always the most efficient especially for far flung destinations

Hey bevalor the first time I ever flew I hated it but believe me you are safer on a plane than on the ground a couple of things to remember before flying cut out caffeine and alcohol those drugs increase your anxiety big time. Hope you take the plunge and hop on a plane, good luck

People with mental health problems can't just snap out of it. Slow handclap for perpetuating stigma.
