Will we need a chauffeur driven DeLorean to get to the airport?

Ah, that explains it, I'll just book a standard taxi then.

Yes - thomas cook are doing what appears to be a one off return flight direct from Belfast to Vegas and as far as I'm aware ( and I have done a fair bit of searching ) no other airlines fly this route direct.
The price might appear high to those on main land Britain but for Northern Ireland that's a good price and the fact it a premium economy & at Easter is a bonus.

It shaves 10 hours each way off travel time, not to mention fuel for 2 hour trip to Dublin and dreaded airport waiting for transfers
There's a big fight on that date?
Ethiopian airlines are considerably cheaper from Dublin, but to LA, but its only 3 hours down the road to Vegas.
£2279.94 for 2 adults 1 child BFS to LAS with Thomas Cook for 1 week
£994 for 2 adults 1 child DUB to LAX with Ethiopian for 16 days
No brainer there I think!
save a 2 hour trek to dublin and toll charges too.

toll charges that's the last of your worries €1.90???? I looked to go from BHD to LAS for wife's 30th. bit of an epic journey yes (19 hours) however went through a website called travel up and the cheapest was £350. should check it out and play with the dates
Hot for your enthusiasm

Customs pre clearance in Dublin is worth the travel time alone. Flying in from Belfast and you could easily queue for customs for a few hours. I have done. I'd rather travel to Dublin in the comfort of my car for two hours than queue for the same amount of time in the States just to get allowed entry.

Ive done pre clearance in Shannon before for JFK and its great arriving into JFK as a domestic passenger. However most flights into Vegas are domestic from other States so you have to be unlucky and stuck behind a few international flights to get the hours of queues you talk about. If there are no queues when you land and your are first off the aircraft as you are at the front in the premium cabin you can be out in 20 mins.

I have been to Las Vegas over 40 times at the beginning I soon reaslised that it wa far better to arrive internally there is not enough immigration officers and getting a cab could be a nightmare so switched to fly via LAX or SFO no longer, cheaper and flights not full of stag and hen parties
I know it's not direct but a lot of Vegas flights are cheaper booking from Dublin than from England. Even for the same plane it is often cheaper to book Dublin to Heathrow and then Heathrow to Vegas than it is to just get on the Heathrow to Vegas flight!
There is no doubt non direct is cheaper but this is the cheapest direct deal. It eliminates the need for things like 2 hour drive to Dublin, car hire to get from LAX to Vegas, airport waiting time and with it being a premium economy flight it should mean no onboard spend needed.
I understand it's not for everyone and I know those on the mainland will think it's expensive but for me it'll be my first trip to the US and I want it to be as stress free and comfortable as possible, it is a suppose to be holiday after all.
As it seems a once a year thing I thought I'd post incase others weren't aware and to highlight that premium is pricing up cheaper than economy.

That's an excellent point sonypc100, thanks.
Sorry. I was just pointing out how stupid it is that the exact same flight from Heathrow works out cheaper if you have another flight from Dublin first!
I've done the Thomas Cook Manchester to Vegas in the Premium seats and was very impressed. Infact we're doing the same in July! Service was very good!

Unfortunately in Northern Ireland we get ripped off when it comes to holidays - flights are always much more expensive than Manchester /Gatwick etc
I wasn't having a go - a few people have pointed it this route can be done cheaper but my point is the hassle isn't worth the saving for a lot of people and this is the cheapest for direct. I'm booked - can't wait.
Great deal voted hot, but I will never go through the custom checks in America ever again. Was in Miami in December and after such a long flight the queues were monstrous when we got to America. Luckily for me direct flights from Dublin start in Sept which is when I'm heading back!

Surely your journey including an internal connection is longer than waiting in an immigration line for an hour? Though Ive not seen it bad in Vegas for quite a while

Re the taxis - with Uber and Lyft your taxi is waiting for you as you walk out, no lines or queue.

Finally if you turn left when you board you dont get the hens and stags ;-)
