I almost bought one of these a while back. Instead went for the AmazonBasics backpack amazon.co.uk/gp/…IQ/ - Really nice quality and only £14. Practically the same bag.

Cheers, good to know. Sometimes you just pay for the badge. Good thing about Eastpak is the long warranty though.
I have always wondered why Eastpak bags are so expensive compared to many others brands. Is it because of the quality and warranty then?
I was on the Very Exclusive website yesterday and they had some decent discounts on Easkpak bags, not this specific one to be fair but might be worth a look

My last eastpak bag lasted me since secondary school so that's way over 15 years ago.

Wow, nice find. I'd say they've got some hot deals, better than this one!
Heat OP! I've had loads of Eastpak bags over the years, got to be be knocking 15 plus? Most are now in the loft, at ex-girlfriend's or still in use... I've never had an issue with any of them

Is there anyone who has actually had the need to use the 30 year warrant, I've never heard of anyone?

I get that but I have a 6 year old Olympics bag that cost me about £5 post Olympics. Still going well. Even getting 8 years out of it at £5 is better value than one £25 bag still going patter 15 years. You have not sold me on it for the price.

Not really a like for like comparison as I have used the bag daily for work and it has been all over in the time period. When a tear forms I will replace it but my point being it hasn't so far... so it still doesn't justify the price tag of the Eastpak. But as long as you are happy paying that, I'm not questioning anyone else's purchase just wondering why they are expensive. To me the price tag is not justified.
That you will pay nearly £30 for a bag just so it can be thrown around a lot and replaced instead of cheaper bags which can also last years for a fifth of the price? I guess you are right, I have missed the point.
Calm down, no one is forcing you to buy this bag. Like with any deal it's not for everyone, probably best not to reply if it's not for you.

Well if you meant myself if you actually read my first comment I was wondering why these bags were so expensive, to see if they did have value to me as a consumer, to see if I thought you had posted a good deal to me and I may buy one based on opinion offered. After some riveting conversation with someone very excitable who doesn't seem to believe other bags can be used as hard as an Eastpak, I agree that people should calm down and not get defensive about a product that clearly doesn't have value for everyone. It's a hard conversation if you cannot appreciate what another argument/viewpoint is actually saying and you merely keep referring back to one selling point which can equally apply to cheaper (but not inferior bags and certainly not bin bags).
Enjoy your bags.

You're aware that your inability to understand and take on board the very reasoning why one would buy this bag led to this unnecessary back and forth?

I don't care if another bag lasts as long, you wanted to know about Eastpak and you got your info. Maybe some people don't want something out of the bargain bucket.

Anyway, do try to keep on topic on other threads.
