btw its flash sale , could end any time

just 16 gyms in the whole country .. pretty poor

All locations are in run down ghettos.

Rules me out.

Any gym with a joining fee is a 'no'. Even if they waive it today.

Boring... you can join the gym anytime of the year doesnt have to be on new years

I prefer my gym 20 quid all in including swimming

I prefer going to the pub

Same here.

£20/month with swimming pool, steam room, jacuzzi and sauna and plenty of free parking.

I bet this limited time deal will last longer than people's will power to keep going for anything more than a handful of times.

if they made gyms cheaper so that people on the lower end of the financial scale could afford to go then maybe you'd go some way towards tackling the obesity problem in this country.

but then when the regular gym bunnies get so defensive and precious about "their" gyms, there'd likely be a riot ..

I'm a member at Wandsworth and the gym is fine. The Croydon gym is a dump.
The only problem is that you can only be a member of one gym. There is no multiple gym membership opttion.

how do you need a gym to tackle obesity? there are tonnes of options for keeping fit and healthy outside a gym that are completely free.

It's the gym at my local Park Inn hotel although a couple of my friends near Derby pay £19/month for even better gyms.

Totally agree.

I only ever work out at home, and I'm as fit/if not fitter than most people I see coming out of paid gyms.

PureGym isn't much dearer than this and it's open 24/7 with what I would assume to be better facilities.

If you're near Belfast there's a few to choose from

You missed out the toe nail painting and eye brow plucking

Sounds more like a health spa than a gym.

No it wouldn't if someone obese cut out one of their takeaways a month they could join a gym.

Yeah because it's really that black and white ..

Out of order, "mate".

Try your local community centre gym
Joined mine for £80/year after loosing 12st and now have put a stone back on so joined to nip it in the bud now while it's easier to keep the weight off.
Paying a year in advance also an incentive to go to get monies worth.

They do have Les Mills Classes (BodyPump etc) lots of others are dropping them and then sticking you by keeping you in contract. Easygym has no contract and a £10 restart.

I'm referring to your statement about obese people on lower income not being able to afford a £20 gym membership.

Regardless of a gyms cost majority would give up after a week anyway unless personal trainers and ITV come along and start trying to save humans from themselves.
