Easy way to start a house fire too.

Already waffled on enough about these here.

Great price for the 'never had a problem before' crew. Use with absolute caution, I'm a spark and I see these things arcing and causing real problems way too often. Not voted.

Personally I’d prefer a 3 way

I bought couple of these from sam99 or poundland...

jees i thought these things went out with the ark, does anyone use them any more after all the fire stories?

ummmmm.... whats the deal here? can get these for £1 each at poundland, no?

Im waiting for someone to say poundland ones are more likely to cause fires, but i have a poundland 3 way brick thats been connected to a fully utilised 8 plug extension lead for like 3 years now..... no fires yet

If this is "2 Way Unfused'' (from the description) then it is illegal and dangerous to use. I can't see any place for a fuse

If your poundland brick is like this (and fused)

then it is the best sort of rigid adapter, IMO, as it should be flat against the wall, and protrude out very little

From bs1363.org.uk/htm…tml:

"Adaptors which fit a BS 1363-2 socket and accept non-UK plugs MUST be fitted with a fuse conforming to BS 1362"

So I have a fused 3 way one of these but am only running a phone charger and one led light bulb off of it. Going by what's been stated about these that should be fine right?
Sounds like people plugging in chainsaws and space heaters is the issue.
