Where does the original price of £54 come from? No mention on the website, looks like the standard price is £29.99? This is a good price for a 425w panel heater though. However £54 would be expensive. Also description states thermostat control but I'm not sure this is the case.

Also why do they state it has a "cool edge touch". That would be the most pointless feature on a radiator/heater! Surely it's meant to be hot

Bought one of these a while back and returned as didn't really heat up room
i havent bought one yet but i am thinking of getting it for the kids bedroom, they have a gas radiator already but it is on the far end of the room and they say it is too cold, so i am hoping to install a couple of these next to the bedside walls. I dont expect these to get too hot since they are only 425w, but should be warm enough satisfy them. i use a 2000w fan heater and that gets hot but i am wary of using that much electric. I also suspect this is why they say cool touch,
I have just bought one after 10mins on there is a strong rubber smell.....worrried ...shall I take it back?
[Sorry SusanAshley, just realised what I wrote doesnt apply to you]
Read a edf booklet on saving gas/electric that came after SmartMeter installation.
Behind the radiator, the booklet recommends a reflective foil to prevent the heat going out through the back ie the wall.
I have discovered that a normal incandescent light bulb eats 2p per hour by itself.
