Looking at the site there seem to be quite a few high value cars being made available for rental. Danger, possibly, of the odd individual getting a key cut and returning later to permanently deprive the car's owner of possession....

And, again, this odd individual of whom I speak might decide to spend his rental period swapping out the car's engine or gearbox....

If wonder if you purchased a new Dacia sandero @£5995 you could then make … If wonder if you purchased a new Dacia sandero @£5995 you could then make a profit hiring it out. Example could be you have the new Dacia on finance at £200 per month but you bring in £1000 a month from renting out. Get yourself 2 Dacia's and you could give up the day job

i'm sure this will be against the terms of the finance for the majority of cases but theoretically a good idea.

Would you need to declare the income for tax purposes?

Yes.

How? The cashback was for becoming a new member which I did. My car … How? The cashback was for becoming a new member which I did. My car wasn't available the days people requested so I declined the requests.

But anyone signing up for the freebies with no intention of ever renting are in my opinion doing so fraudulently

Surely that is essentially committing fraud ?

You don't need to let anyone use your car I signed up a few months ago … You don't need to let anyone use your car I signed up a few months ago when they were offering £55 topcashback for signing up which has paid out already. I've had three requests to rent it and I've just declined them.

Not worth it if it means letting someone else drive my car ..... free MOT … Not worth it if it means letting someone else drive my car ..... free MOT is worthless if someone then comes and thrashes the guts out of the engine, burns out the clutch etc .....additionally I wouldn't let Halfords anywhere near my car for an MOT or anything else

Agreed especially on the "I wouldn't let Halfords anywhere near my car"

Recently we had to take our 2 year old Kia to Halfords for it's services (It is where the lease company wanted us to go). Not long after we had an issue with the electric wing mirrors and so it went to Kia for repair and they subsequently found a hole host of issues that should have shown up in the service including a brake calliper sticking and heavily worn brake pads as a result and an oil leak on the engine. Kia sorted it all under warranty. It was clear Halfords did a poopy job of the servicing.

I wouldn't trust them to do anything to my car!
