What nonsense. This hasn't been the case since 2012.

Thanks for the heads up
anyone know roughly when the summer flights will be out?
Flights are normally released to the general public between 6am - 6.30am.
Assuming the agencies get first choice earlier?
Once upon a time, the whole months prices were the same at release, but now you'll find varying prices.
I'll be having a look, but the easyJet price guarantee has changed and often prices drop or easyJet jump on the sales bandwagon. I'm flexible and I'm thinking of just waiting until next May and take my chance with either a late deal or a Thomson (or other) last minute flight.
Others don't have the same flexibility and I wish them the best of luck getting the best, or decent price.
Thank you for the heads up, heat added x
Cheers
Haven't used easyJet before, so need help - if I book 2adults and two children - would the seats be together or are they going to be all scattered?
I remember seeing they want extra to choose seats but isn't sure if this means extra to have all 4 seats together or to choose specific seats.
Thanks

Don't be silly , you can check in and reserve seats 30 days before flight for free , never had a problem when travelling with the kids
You pay a fee for allocated seats and parents flying with children have no other option as its mandatory, I think I've paid about £20 for my flights in Feb
We just checked in online 30 days before flying and all got seated together and there were 8 of us!

Theh don't split children and families tho although if you don't check in early you may have a parent and child in one row and the other parent and child further down the plane
Thanks for the heads up OP
And hope they don't do a Ryan air and cancel your flights. A mates teenage daughter and friend got stuck away this weekend. Ryan air cancelled their home bound flight and offered them a new one in 5 days time

Don't talk rubbish they introduced allocated seating for everyone about 5 years ago.

@urinthematrix ive travelled several times with easyjet and the kids and have never paid for allocated seats. We check in online 30 days before departure including ur return flights and they always have the kids seated with us. Families with under 5s usually are asked to line up first and board after priority seating. Cheers op, heat added

Untrue. If you have young children then EasyJet allocate you seats together. You can pay to pick which row you're in if you prefer.
EasyJet or Ryanair?

Holiday or no holiday?

Hmmm... got to feel sorry for those affected by Ryanair's current PR disaster. No doubt it will be EasyJet's gain.

haha, fair enough... It's been a while since I've flown EasyJet. I used to fly monthly Bristol to Edinburgh and I guess it was about 5 years ago!! Can you now turn left after boarding these days aswell!! :-)
Last twice they have released flights they have been extortionate. No longer a budget airline. Ive waited til the day the flights have become available then, when they wanted 1500 to fly a family of 4 i looked elsewhere and ended up booking same destinations/days cheaper through air france/air lingus.

Hi sorry but wasn't the case for me and my family in April this year. I assumed we would be together (kids aged 4 and 2) but wasn't the case. We were unlucky but then after causing a fuss got moved to front row but that was lucky. I'd reserve every time with kids now.

If you're 2 adults and 2 or more children then you may get split up. We've flown with EasyJet several times in recent years and have always had a whole row for our family split across an aisle (2 adults, 4 children). Never paid extra to book seats.
Let's hope it doesn't clash with the holiday planning hey

If you book them all at once they will be together.
Thanks
Prices have shot up. What time did it start?
I heard they were live at 5.45am - not sure if any earlier than that.
any view when ryanair (cancelleations accepted) will be out for may june next yr ?
they are on sale yes, but not the rates one associates with a sale
I am happy enough with £160 for 2 adults / 1 child and 2 bags to Belfast for Easter. £24.50 out, £19.50 back. Christmas is so expensive that we aren't going, which my Irish wife is not very happy about.
It started about 5.35. I was expected lower prices. Release day in spring was much better.
These prices dont look particularly good, surely its better to wait til theres a sale, or later on cos they have just used default pricing?

The prices for the flights I wanted were good first thing this morning. They've risen now. To be fair, my dates were never going to be horribly expensive - but saving @£20 a flight is still worth it. Every penny counts
Southend to Faro 23/5 - 3/6 +213% (£893 - £1906) since 6am Gatwick +152% (£837 - £1290) BTW this is for a family of 4 !
I certainly would not wait if you are flying peak time (i.e. school holidays). In fact if you have not booked you are too late tbh.
Prices have moved twice this morning causing me a bit of a mare, but I managed to secure them at a cost I was happy once I moved the dates around.

Easyjet will refund any price via voucher if they go down so better off booking it than leaving to chance. In my experience once booked they only gone down in total by £60 which I never bothered to claim hoping that they would drop more (which they didn't).

I’ve claimed back via a voucher in the past but think EasyJet stopped this in February this year
EasyJet are no longer doing the price refund vouchers unless you're a member of EasyJet plus or Flight club.
Booked on or after 21 Feb 2017? Most now can't access the price promise refund. You're ONLY eligible if you're a member of – or join – Easyjet Plus or Flight Club. With Easyjet Plus, only individual members are covered by the price promise – with Flight Club, everyone on the booking is eligible. You can also do the trick if you book on or after 21 Feb 2017 and join Easyjet Plus or Flight Club AFTER booking your flight.
