This Thursday - the cheapest time to book millions of seats for Feb/March 2019, incl half-term?

Easyjet’s prices are fluid and move based on demand for any particular flight. When they’re released, they’re usually priced cheaply, but this can change quickly depending on how many people are booking. So if you can pounce when they’re launched, you’re often getting the very cheapest deal.

When does it launch tickets?

They’re released in several tranches throughout the year. Easyjet’s prices are based on demand, so be ready to buy when it launches a new wave of tickets and you’re likely to get a good deal.

The next seat release will be this Thursday (26 April), for travel from 4 February 2019 to 24 March 2019.

Tickets go on sale via the Easyjet website, but we don’t know exactly when. Previously tickets have gone on sale in the very early hours and the very cheapest get snapped up fast, so it may be worth checking from just after midnight - though Easyjet says the release time is now “usually around 6am”.

Of course, Easyjet may break convention and Thursday’s prices may not be cheapest. Yet in the past booking on seat-release day has worked well. Use common sense when you see the price though, and always do a flight comparison to see if other airlines can beat it.

You may still be able to get cheap Christmas tickets too

While Thursday’s release covers next February and March, Easyjet’s only recently released tickets from 28 October 2018 to 3 February 2019 - so if you’re looking for flights over Christmas/New Year you may still be able to get a good price.

Lots of MoneySavers managed to find bargains on recent seat-release days, eg:

If you’ve managed to bag cheap seats just after a release, tell us in the forum.

Will I definitely get the cheapest tickets as soon as they’re released?

There’s no way to know that. If there’s no demand for a flight, prices could come down. Plus Easyjet does occasionally run flight sales, and there’s also the chance it changes its pricing policy.

But in the past, booking on seat-release day has worked well – and booking in the days after has normally ensured a decent price too. Only book if it feels right and always do a flight comparison to see if other airlines can beat it.

Easyjet’s ticket release calendar

Here’s a quick summary of which tickets are being released when:

TRAVEL PERIOD
TICKETS GO ON SALE
Up to 3 February 2019
Already on sale
4 February - 24 March 2019 26 April 2018
25 March - 22 June 2019 October 2018
To make sure you don’t miss out, if you ‘like’ Easyjet’s Facebook page it’ll give you a heads-up a few days before new seats are released. You can also sign up to Easyjet’s email to get an alert on the day (ensure you don’t opt out of receiving special offers and promotions otherwise you won’t get email alerts).

Easyjet’s axed its free refund trick for most - but Easyjet scheme members can still use it

Easyjet’s price promise guarantees that if you do find the same flight for less after booking, you’ll get the difference back as a credit voucher, which you have to use within six months. You’ll need to have booked direct though, and you won’t get the difference back if the lower price you’ve found is a sale price.

Until February 2017 this refund trick was open to all, and it’s been a favourite of MoneySavers over the past few years. But Easyjet now only offers this if you’re a member of – or join – Easyjet Plus or Flight Club.
Community Updates
EasyJet Plus membership costs £199 per year, per person
Flight Club is by invitation only to frequent EasyJet passengers.

I really wouldn’t worry about things! It is a deal, I’m not sure why someone else’s was removed but get over it ! Sometimes my posts are removed, who cares! It’s just a website to post deals on... don’t need to take it all so seriously

This is not a deal.
It's a heads-up.

October 28th onwards were released two weeks ago.
Thanks for the heads up, I’ll take a look and see if there’s something for me there.

As to the comments regarding the way this site is moderated I find it far more worrisome that posts which are racist / homophobic / bigoted in some way or another remain in threads where other posts have been removed which makes me think that one or two of the staff members have an unenlightened world view. Not that they’re racist themselves but it takes a keen eye to spot the difference sometimes. Whereas if I mentioned Brexit and these flights then I’d have it removed for sure.
I've removed some off topic comments from this thread, if anyone has an issue with heads-up posts and the way they have been dealt with please can you use the contact form to raise your concerns. Thanks
Thanks OP

I have had an email from Easyjet saying that the flights are up now from Manchester. I've just checked for February half term 2019 and they are available - but at ridiculously high prices e.g. £500+ return Saturday to Saturday.
Use the 3 week view, I noticed that the Canary Island were v expensive. South of Spain looks ok. Madeira was ok. for us it was a question of getting as far south as possible, hence Sicily.
Half term week was still pretty expensive... £4000 for 6 of us (2 kids) to fly London > Innsbruck and that was at 5:20am I looked. Guess we are driving!
Just booked for February half term, but prices went up as I put my card details in. Grrrrr EasyJet
No deals found
Flights to allicante in Feb break 140 for 4 of us who says you cannot get cheap hold in school hols
Thanks to OP I got up at 6am and got two return flights from Newcastle to Faro in March 2019 for £54 each
Its for my special Birthday, I am well pleased Thanks again.
Glad some people got some good deals 👌
