easyMobile Free Calls & Texts 20/07/2006

Just received this. Great offer!

Schools out for summer!

To celebrate the arrival of the summer holidays, we are giving you a lucky day on Thursday 20th July 2006.

What are lucky days? Lucky days are our way of saying thank you to all of our fantastic customers. You made a great decision by joining easyMobile. You chose an innovative Pay as You Go mobile phone service that doesn't burn a hole in your pocket whenever you want to make a call or send a text. On a Lucky Day you can make calls and send texts for free to standard UK phone numbers. Click link to find out more and see the Terms & Conditions.

This even includes landlines (01/02) and mobile calls. A great time to use all the SIMs we have been getting via Quidco.

 for that netwalk time to register the new sim I received yesterday...:-D

Guess tomorrow is the day to start using my new sim! (I have been running down the credit on my O2 sim first).

Will be able to send free texts to all my contacts/friends to tell them my new number.

Based on their usual 5p a text this will save me 15p - lol  (only joking, it will be at least 25p )

cmon guys you should have changed it on the front page i just spent all my £32 in calls:x

The front page should have updated at the same time antilws. Unfortunately, the poster made a mistake and yesterday I did change the post above to 20th...

Someone changed it back, sorry about that, but it should be this:

Or not helped you  whichever is the case

:pirate:

I just got my sim this morning. Opened, activated, then got going straight away with calling absolutely everyone. It is completely free without using credit, right? I dont want to find out I have finished all my credit in one day!

It should be free all day today mikesss

Maybe check out your remaining balance by logging into your account, then you can be sure.

EDIT: OK, I've discovered that easymobile call history and call cost come up quite quickly through the online account section... thanks for clearing that up.

I made two test calls, and within about an hour both came up with their call costs

mikess you should be able to check quite quickly online.

I sent texts to my contacts this morning to tell them my new number. This was at 7.45am & by time I got to work an hour later they are all showing on my "Call History" & all showing as £0.000.

Also then made a call later & it too has shown on my history v quickly, again at £0.000.

Very impressed

Thanks for the useful feedback rocky!

just wna tto confirm this works
except for 0800 numbers!! i just got billed for a call i made

Seems a bit silly that you can't phone freephone numbers free lol

But this is still a great deal [soon to be: easyMobile overload day].

Oh, and a quick quidco question... For the July transactions, is it right for easymobile come up as 0.00 for the Amount and 0.00 for Earnings. Is it a good thing that it says tracked?

Thanks

mikesss - see my post from the easyMobile sim thread - hope this helps

As you can see guys the tracked amount can remain at £0 for up to six weeks.

I signed up last week on the previous offer, received sim, have activated & used but still shows at £0.00 - Not worried though re the above

So I have to top up again too between now and august? Sorry if I am being thick-skulled

Damm cant believe i missed this , made tons of calls yesterday which i could of got for free if i had known

No mikesss you do not need to top up again. If it has tracked already then it will remain at £0.00 for upto six weeks, BEFORE it changes to the actual amount you are going to be paid.

Also, although it says the cashback is £8, my understanding is that due to the number of transactions, easyMobile will more likely be paying £19

Anyone feel free to correct me if my understanding is wrong :-D

Thanks :-D How can they afford to do this? So loads of people sign up for 2 pounds, and then get 19 pounds back through quidco!!?? Wont easymobile be losing money?

They're probably going to try & grab a huge chunk of the market then whack their costs up - lol

Hopefully not lets hope their initial good service continues - especially the free days!!!

What you do have to make sure, is that you use all your credit and top up by at least £5 within 3 months, or they notify you that they can debit 75p each month until you do add that £5.

Are you sure Ray?

My understanding is that you have to SPEND £5 in a 3-month period. So, because I have £37 credit already (only paid for £2 :-D ) I think that providing I use £5 in calls/texts over the 3 months then I'm OK.

Might be worth checking with easymobile - I will update.

Would they take the 75p each month from your pay as you go balance or your credit card?

I think you're right, I'll check one of the e-mails I have from them which explains it

The 75p is taken from your airtime credit balance each month. So make sure you don't leave the automatic overdraft facility activated
