This dehumidifier from Ebac regulates the amount of airborne moisture in your home – preventing problems with damp, mould or condensation. This powerful model works efficiently in rooms as big as 225m2. It uses Smart Control Technology to constantly monitor the humidity in your room, and automatically switches the power on when moisture levels rise and off when they drop. This maintains the perfect home environment, whilst saving energy. Thanks to the 2.5 litre water tank, you won’t have to empty it as often. There’s also a 2 year manufacturer warranty for extra peace of mind.

Serious kit. EBACs really do work at a different level to some of the competition. Pricier, but this is a really good deal.

Good product, if you're not in the market for one desperately, I'd suggest to keep an eye on Amazon. Bought one for £145 last year on deal of the day, haven't used the tumble dryer since.

Could someone tell me if this is a compressor type or desiccant. Thanks in advance

Compressor.

I can't decide between this or the Meaco 25l Low Energy dehumidifier. The Meaco is much more expensive upfront but I'm more interested in the running costs and efficiency. Decisions decisions.

We have both in the household. They are both good, on paper Meaco is more economical, we never measured though. Meaco is bigger and bulkier compared to Ebac, but holds more water in the tank. Not sure if everyone would agree, but I find Meaco slightly quieter. Also has a replaceable HEPA filter. You can set the target humidity value. Both have auto stop starts (humidity sensor). Hope it helps.

is this good for drying clothes? on an airer
