I never get emails from ebay but the offers are usually on the homescreen on the mobile app (which I normally never notice, like this one until someone points it out from here). then its just click to activate using the app.

I stopped getting the emails a while ago too and haven't changed any of my communication preferences. The cynic in me says eBay don't want to make people 'too' aware of the special offers as they don't automatically activate, which is utterly stupid, as who exactly wouldn't want to take advantage of a money saving promotion?, they should just come on if you qualify, but I digress, so anyway people who don't see them in myebay or on the app, will just carry on paying full price as normal even though they were entitled to an offer.

To avoid this I always check the promotional offers pane on the right hand side of myebay each time I log in. Sure enough this one was there this morning. A very decent offer for sure, though I have to admit I would have much preferred the month of free listings as I mostly sell low value stuff so the unlimited free listings would have been more beneficial but hey ho better than nothing...

Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only. is what comes up...

I sell a lot of stuff on a regular basis and got the email. Maybe it's just for the regular sellers ?

Still extortion but it's the best auction site for selling worldwide.

Be nice if PayPal had a nil few as well.
Just to make everyone aware, eBay now charge around 14% with PayPal free.
If you sell through the global shipping program they charge you a fortune.
EBay is a total joke. Ide rather sell anywhere else.

I thought you meant eBay had put the prices up from 10% to 14% recently. I see what you mean though, 10% for eBay and 3.4% for Paypal + 20p. What annoyed me is when they started creaming off the postage too, ridiculous.

I didn't know the global shipping programme cost extra?!

How does global shipping program cost a seller?
this might get me to get off my ass and sell loads of stuff in the house ive been meaning to sell for years,
Great if you can get it. I can't.
just checked at the bottom of my selling page and it is there but i didnt get an email
Thank OP!
You're not eligible for this promotional offer because your seller standing is Below Standard.
Thanks
Nice find, OP. So do you have to sell your item by 14/03/16 to get the discount, or just create a listing by then to be eligible?

Plus if there is a spurious dispute initiated by the buyer, eBay will always side with them.

Global shipping has never charged me extra..
I had a 30% off final value fees offer last week, and today I do have the 35% offer as well! Ended the one item that hasn't sold to relist with the better discount.
Can anyone recommend a website that has a calculation tool for selling on eBay please?

I have as many complaints about eBay and Paypal as anyone else but the fee from postage costs had to be done to stop all the sellers listing as £0.01 + £4.99 postage to swerve the fees.

I got charged the eBay 10% and PayPal fees were a lot higher because someone bought through the global shipping.
It charges a conversion rate between the buyers currency and yours and it isn't cheap.
At the end of the day, I don't waste my time posting on here to lie for fun. EBay is ripping you off without telling you and I'm letting you know they are...
I accepted the offer last week for free listing for whole of march & 30% off final value fees but have just accepted this deal too. Hope this doesn't stop me listing for free for the rest of the month!
good deal. however I will never sell on eBay again! too many buyers taking advantage of the 'protection programme' and leaving sellers out of pocket! if you sell electrical items, never sell as brand new and take note of serial numbers.. mark them with a security pen to identify your item if need be. if you send by royal mail signed for delivery and the recipient signs as a name that isn't them, they can get their money back stating they 'haven't received' said item even tho they have. so you've paid to send items to people who get to keep them for free. I'm done with eBay.

take the above into account along with the fees for using PayPal and eBay - not worth the hassle!
I see ebay are trying to get people to come back. Haven't used their website in years ever since I realised you can buy new stuff on other websites for cheaper than their used items.
