52% off RRP, I've just ordered this set of new 21' alloys and tyres for just over what I paid for 4 new tyres a couple of years ago for my wife's X5!! Delivery is only £1.99 I'm not sure what brand the tires are but seeing as these are sent direct from BMW they should be decent. I will post update when I receive them, now just need to figure out how to stop the Mrs from curbing these new badboys!!

Very nice. Some people wouldn't have £2.5k to live on let alone buy these though.

I am sorry that greedy, careless women and BMW's are such a massive part of your life.

I agree that it's a lot of money but we should be cautious that some people have more than others. I wish I was on the other side too but still.

this is more than the upgrade from new though right? but you will get money back if selling current set

Just take the keys off her!

For curbing maybe try these. Been thinking of them myself as the other week I curbed my N/S front to avoid some idiot from hitting me.

PS. Ebay page says they are Dunlop Sportmaxx's. I had them as my previous fronts found them to have great grip wet and dry but was seriously under impressed with the life cira 8k (Although on a FWD 275BHP in 18")

+1 on Alloygators.

Nice find. These guys have some heavily discounted genuine BMW stuff as I've used them previously. Voted hot and updated details with what you get.

Keep on topic please and remember the code of conduct.

ordered 5 sets, i dont even have a BMW

You could get a decent bicycle for this price!!!!!

I personally don't like having a different size front and back - my BMW at the moment has 19" on and have been looking with no luck for a standard set of 18" (as these have matching front and back sizes), £500 is about right for second hand wheels - so this price is very good although it seems very expensive you do only get what you pay for! (I had an Audi before and the aluminum in the wheels was porous making the air leak and having to pump them all up weekly - no such problems with BMW)
voted Hot although very cold now - anyone found cheaper?

Have found cheaper (£2,200) but no delivery in Derby if any use to anyone show as same part number. Also £2160 in Edinburgh again pickup only. Though might be worth a pot ringing around local dealers to see if they can come close.

I'll bet that they don't come with working indicators either.

Good point I'll try that to be fair the current ones arent too battered, I'm going to try and sell them on ebay when i get the new ones and recoup some of the money just over £600 a corner for a set of new 21s and tyres is a good deal if you factor in a tyre set for this size is around £1400! I know you are not suppose to but in the past i ve changed them in pairs to save getting hit all at one go.

Thanks for the info mate, I've seen these alloygator things have you had any experience with them? i few people in other forums have said they can damage the alloy they're suppose to protect!

Sorry afraid not just something I had been thinking about myself also and noticed them at my local tire fitters for sale though they charge £99 fitted for set of 4. Auto Express also says the 2nd Gen Gators are easier to fit so maybe this was just initial problems, can't see my local large tire fitter doing them if they thought you might come back and claim alloy damage.

Seen you say about how much for your tires, think you been paying way to much.

Above prices from my local fitter in N.Ireland which I always use a "base price".

thanks again I will do a bit more investigating on those 2nd Gen things, this was a while back when I looked into it so perhaps they have improved. As for the tyres I recal I paid around the £350 each mark but they were Michelins I'm keen to see if there is much difference with the dunnies...thanks again for the helpful info much appreciated
