Specific information about this promotion

What's it all about?

Create up to 100 listings on eBay.co.uk in an eligible category
Listings must start during the promotional period
Listings can be auction-style or fixed price format
Pay a maximum of £1 per listing in final value fees if the item sells.
The promotion start and end dates are included in the email we send to invited sellers.
Item must sell within the first listing period.
Sounds good, where do I find the promotion and how do I sign up?
You can take part in the promotion on eBay.co.uk. In the first instance, we'll send you an email with an RSVP link to the offer. You must opt in to the promotion by clicking on this link before any of your 100 listings start.

Anything else I need to know?

You won't pay an insertion fee for each of the 100 listings. Listing upgrade fees will still apply and will be charged according to the eBay fees policy.

The number of listings eligible under this promotion may be less where seller restrictions apply. Click here to learn more about selling allowances.

Who can take part?

This promotion is open to all registered private sellers who have been invited to take part and have actively opted in. Participation is linked to the seller's account and is not transferable.
Only sellers whose accounts meet eBay minimum seller performance standards are eligible. Please sign in to My eBay and view your seller standards dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards. The seller standards dashboard is available to all sellers here.
If you registered after 15 March 2011 or haven't listed any items for a while, you may have a listing allowance of 10 items per month or of £650 per month, whichever is reached first. You may be able to increase this allowance by providing additional verification.

An eligible item previously scheduled to go live during the promotional period will qualify for the promotion only if you have opted in to the promotion before the listing starts.
If an item that is eligible for the promotion had previously closed without a successful sale and is re-listed during the promotion period, it will form a part of the 100 listings limit of the promotion. You will not receive a refund of your original insertion fee if the item sells.

Listings do not have to successfully sell during the promotional period to be eligible.
If an item qualifies for the promotion and when the item sells, the invoice will indicate the fee including the discount. Please note: if the item does not sell the first time and if you relist it after the promotional period or if it is automatically relisted during the promotional period, standard final value fees will be charged according to the eBay fees policy when the relisted item sells.
Items that are automatically relisted through the Automatic relist function or the Good 'Till Cancelled function will be charged.
Only single quantity listings are eligible.

For items listed in 2 or more categories, only the insertion fee for the first category is included. Standard insertion fees will be charged for listing the same item for each additional category, according to the eBay fees policy.
Free listings in this promotion do not count towards your monthly 1000 free listings.
Your first listing period may vary and is dependent on the listing format you choose (e.g. – auction-style vs buy-it-now), the duration of the listing you choose and the listing experience you use. The first listing period will be considered to have been ended when the listing you create first renews or relists.
Restrictions & exclusions
The following are excluded from the promotion:

Not eligible again!! AGAIN!!!?! 3 months now without one
Not for me. Might as well give up checking these now...
Not had this since June. Ebay are now becoming ridiculous. They should give it to everyone or no one.

Not for me, invite only
Not on our account
Finally! Thank you!!
Not going to vote either way, but I will say that I had a bout earlier this year of not being invited to this offer 4 times and have now recently been invited for the last two occasions. Potentially random? I have noticed that these last two times I have had no drafts so this could be worth considering for those who are on a run of not being invited?
You mean final value fee?

Thanks op. I'm accepted for offer.
Got a few things to flag off and good time coming.
Not invited. What a surprise.
Not me :sad face:
Well done for getting in before the staff to post this.

Sounds like some monkey business, not been eligible for at least 3 months now. Probably due to the items I sell.
They now charge 35p to list an item.
I always get accepted but I only ever sell on ebay when it is £1 FVF. I wonder if you sell at normal fees sometimes then you don't always qualify as they think you'll sell your items at the higher fees anyway?

I still have 100 free listings every month.
I wasn't "invited" last week either but re-checked the link on the day it went live and was "invited", so if you're not included now make sure to check again on Friday. I went months without £1 fees, now I've had it two weeks running.
I am guessing you mean final fee? I am still getting free listing throughout September is all
Bloody hell again not for me.

Its as COLD as The North Pole for me

Good find thanks OP
Just a note for those who haven't got this working. Give it another try to activate in a couple days time.
With the last similar £1 max selling offer, I tried to activate it first time and got the rejection response. Later I tried again in a couple of days and it just worked! (A difference between the two times is first time it was before the effective date of the offer and second within the effective date. Not sure if this was what made the difference though)
Seems the same happened with @DirtyQwerty as reported above so worth a shot

I’ve never missed one of these but this is about the 5th in a row I’ve not had!! Out of principle I don’t sell anything again until I’m accepted for the £1 listing fee!
Wow, it worked at last!
Not for me again.

Haven’t sold a thing since June as I’ve been holding out for a £1 listing. Going to start listing again this weekend anyway and just jack up my prices.
Worked for me for the first time in months. Thanks OP.
I’ve been accepted. That’s good for me. Trying to clear out everything I don’t want when I move house.

Makes no difference.

My wife has been selling bits and bobs on her account and I’ve sold absolutely nothing since June on my account and neither of us got this offer.

Easier said than done. Depending on what you're trying to sell no one will buy it if you're more expensive than the competition.

I too haven't been accepted for a £1 offer in at least three months now, including this one. I've heard people create a new account and it usually gets invited to these. I think I'm just gonna go ahead and do that.

I've been sitting on nearly 20 items totalling hundreds in wait of a £1 FVF offer but for whatever reason I am just never getting invited anymore. If I need to cheat to get it then so be it.

Do I still pay £1 if I list my item within 4-7th but sold on 8th of Sep?

Why would you deprive someone else of the offer just because you didn't get it? It is a business, not a social entitlement. I don't have the offer either. I am finding Gumtree to be a lot more effort intensive but effective as a replacement. Plus no risk of fraud as its cash only.

Problem with new account is 0 feedback so people likely to buy from someone else.

I’ve got three accounts and created a new one last time I wasn’t accepted and that still didn’t work.

Luckily I sell collectable and one of a kind type items that you don’t see lots of on eBay so I won’t have too much of an issue with competition.

I’ve got an account for buying only and that wasn’t accepted either.

Listing time matters, not when it is sold. But if you are using a 30 days Fixed Price option, please remember to de-list on day 30 to avoid automatic relisting at the full fees.

Your only problem is you will have zero feedback when creating a new account . I’ve found that my usual account with 300 plus 100% feedback reviews items tend to bring more money than my less used other eBay account where my feedback is less than 20.

Unfortunately there is no logic where ebay buyers are concerned. I have sold items in the past for more than other listings were on for and also a lot of the time secondhand items go for more than new, so saying no one will buy if you are more expensive does not apply to ebay in my experience. I too have a lot of items to sell worth hundreds but I am taking the fee into account when listing. If they don't sell I will keep them until their value has gone up further or until I get the £1 listing fee again.
