Relisting an item automatically - you can set your listings to relist automatically up to 3 times with no additional insertion fees.

Example 1: 120 days fixed price listing for FREE.
If you use the 'Buy It Now' Fixed Price option and select the 30 day listing, you can have the listing run for 120 days for FREE. Your listing will auto renew 3 times for FREE (you must tick the relevant box),

Example 2: 40 days Auction Style listing for FREE.
If you use the 'Auction' style and select the 10 day listing format, you can have the listing run for 40 days for FREE. Your listing will auto renew 3 times for FREE (you must tick the relevant box).

You can also opt for the 1, 3, 5 & 7 day listings and have your listing auto renew for FREE (thats 4, 12, 20 & 28 days exposure for FREE).

Just place a tick where it states 'Automatically relist this item up to 3 times if it doesn't sell — it's free to relist'

Reliant or relevant? Sorry, just asking :o)

I was told about this but didn't see any details anywhere so thanks for that OP

Need to watch your accounts because I ticked the box to get the free relisting, and although the listing email said Free listing it also showed a listing fee charge which goes onto your account.

eBay messages boards confirm this is happening to other sellers as well. It is a know technical hitch that they are working on.

THIS IS NOT A DEAL

THIS IS NOT A DEAL

A new keyboard will sort out that sticky key.

This is not a deal.
This is not new - it has been around for weeks, and has been discussed on various forums.
As mentioned earlier, it was charging for relists a couple of days ago, but customer services said it was a known glitch and fees would be reimbursed.

Also, if you list an item with a quantity of 2 or more (For those who sell identical new goods), it will NOT relist for free so you have to revise your item before it finishes, change your quantity to 1, and then revise again to increase the quantity after it has relisted.
It is only for unsold items, and so will not relist if you have sold any of your multiple quantity items either, even if you reduce the quantity to one.

Didn't know about this....thanks OP. I only heard yesterday that they are withdrawing the '100 free 99p listings a month' and replacing with 20 free listings a month (Buy now or auction), but thinking most people will be worse off under this new scheme - auction listings after the 20 free are used will now be 35p EACH. That's a lot if you are starting at 99p!! So I guess we will see a lot of items for sale with a £1.35 start price instead of 99p?!

Where abouts does it say about the relisting automatically on listings? Can't see it anywhere, am I being blind?

When you get to the last page and have to click to 'list your item', just above there you should see .....

Automatically relist this item up to 3 times if it doesn't sell - it's free to relist. Final value fees apply. Help on auto relist
New. Your item can be automatically relisted for free.

Sorry I can't copy an actual picture of it, but there is a small tick box on the left of the above text.

Some of my 10 day auctions have already relisted 3 times and will have to wait for a new promotion if unsold - as said, this has been running for a little while now.
It's always a good idea to read forums and announcements regularly in case some people have spotted a promotion or problem that is useful to know about.

Its for private sellers.

Is your ebay account fairly new ? it may have something to do with your transaction and sales if you do not see the 'Auto Relist' option.

i knew about this (did not think much about it) but nice one Da11as.

**** deal.........they are coming up with this as many have left ebay. It used to be nice little weekend or monthly clearout trading but the commission on postage fees was equivalent to a farmer hitting his own foot with axe.......sheer dumb move from mega site!

Now only shopping on ebay no good for selling

And yet, the fact is, not everyone had seen it, as evidenced by the heat added!

Doesn't seem to show up on the advanced listing tool but it shows up on the quick listing tool?

Or am I being a bit blind?

Just a word of warning, i have been using this tool for a while, and when i checked my account, every time the items auto relisted i was charged an insertion fee. I had to online chat with ebay to get credited, and had to do this each time it was auto relisted, apparantly ebay have a technical error (been going on for a few weeks, and still not sorted) and it is charging ebay users every time it auto relists. So be careful, and be sure to check your account to make sure you are not being charged.
