Ebay voucher codes "£15 off £75" and "10% off £100 or more in Electronics" (user specific?)

Found 14th Aug 2015
When I went to my My EBay -> Summary page at ebay.co.uk/myb…ary I noticed a new section, right at the bottom, titled "Vouchers"

This section contained two vouchers for me:

"£15.00 off your purchase of £75.00 or more, valid when paying with PayPal, discount doesn't apply to P&Ps.
Expires 21/08/15

10% off your purchase of £100.00 or more in Category Electronics up to £100.00 off by paying with PayPal, discount doesn't apply to P&Ps.
Expires 20/08/15"

The codes themselves are user specific.

I used both successfully, you just enter the codes upon checkout, so it's worth checking your account to see if you have these voucher codes too.

If you have Nectar points then perhaps you can combine with the 30% refund of Nectar points offer currently on, see hotukdeals.com/tag/dea…844

No new section for me stating vouchers....

Oooh, just found this in mine! It's only for 10% off £100 or more in Electronics.. Oh well.

Have you checked your emails?they are giving vouchers out for so many years on ebay.I received a similar voucher the other day (£5 off next purchase) for 8 years on eBay.It could be a unique code that only works for you.

I had one recently for a tenner off a £40.00 spend

No voucher section for me

I've also got the Electronics one.

They will be reeling from the Paypal fiasco with people not being able to collect payments for 21 working days lots like my good lady have packed up with them

Don't think for one minute Ebay are reeling with any problems, these vouchers have been handed out for years, certainly it's no more frequent now. Even after the security debacle I didn't notice Ebay doing anything to help sellers or drive trade, so don't expect anything now.

Yes I have had the emails in the past. But these particular voucher offers where not emailed to me. They showed up in that special vouchers section. Hence why I posted it...

10% off voucher for me, cheers wouldn't have checked if I hadnt seen on here

Thanks for this just saved 40

EBay just screwed me over. They Gave my buyer £200 without him retuning the item first. Called appeals line only to be told I can't appeal despite me having evidence of conversation with eBay. Someone in eBay cocked up but I'm paying for it.

I'm glad some of you have managed to save some money.

As I said, it's user specific so I'm not sure why people are voting it cold.

sadly not to hand, however there is a website you can use to find it out. Given the adhoc approach to the way the mods apply their moderation, im not sure if im allowed to post the link, so try using a well known search provider and search for ceoemails. You can use the website you find to search for their ceo's email address.

That is normal from ebay? what did you expect that they were going to wait to confirm you received the item ? lol
Now just wait for the two large potaoes you will receive back from your buyer via tracked delivery which you will no doubt have to pay for oO
This is ebay mate, it is all about the buyer and large retailers, just do a search on google and read the horror stories

I got 10 pounds off 40 last week

I looked at taking them to the small claims court. Its real easy to do,its also cheap and can be done online. Unfortunately it only applies to companies/people with a UK address and from what I can see ebay dont have a UK address. I might just take the individual to court instead.

Tried telling me it was fake. I have been a member for 10 years with 2500 absolute poss feedback. Never had a problem till now. I actually bought the item from Amazon direct so I very much doubt it was fake. I agreed the seller could return the item as he was in his right to do so but after not receiving contact from him I chased it up with ebay as they had put my funds on hold. I had numerous chats with ebay and informed them exactly what was going on so they said they would escalate it and chase him to return the item then within 5 days they refunded him and stitched me up.

Did you have the details to show them that you bought it from Amazon.

It's terrible these things happen, had something similar with a pair of boots I had bought online and I didn't want them so I put them on Ebay & the buyer said they were fake, luckily they never contacted Ebay as that could have happened to me!

I've heard of Ebay doing no fault refunds where they end up refunding the buyer but it seems odd they would refund from your funds without the buying returning the item to you.

Have you tried messaging Ebay on Facebook they are quite helpful.

Yes, I had numerous online chats with ebay who were more than happy to help. They even updated the case file with events. It all looked good. They gave the buyer 3 weeks to return the item so I queried why he had so long after already having the product 1 month so they said they could escalate it and only give him 10 days, which I agreed. The case updated that they required info from the buyer within 5 days then after 5 days he was refunded. I contacted Appeals and they didnt give toss. She could clearly see all the conversation Id had and all she kept saying was I couldnt appeal and if she could change the decision she would . All she could do is send the buyer an email requesting the return of the item, yeah right. He has my item plus the money , like he gives a toss. Ebay/Paypal have had £10k commision out of me over 10 years and they do this, unbelievable. Like I say ,I might try the small claims court with the buyer. I will give him a chance to return the item otherwise I will claim the money back.

I can't believe you've gone through all that and you still haven't had your item returned, that's disgusting,I think it's only about 50 quid to file a claim so it's worth doing, good luck.

If you phone PayPal rather than eBay (providing this happened before they split up), you'll get an English call centre - super helpful.
Failing that, make an unannounced house call to your buyer

Hopefully this info helps you as you are allowed to appeal according to there terms and conditions Can I appeal an eBay Money Back Guarantee decision?
If a case is closed in the buyer's favour, a seller will have 30 days from the day the case is closed to appeal the decision by providing the appropriate documentation through the eBay Resolution Centre. If the decision is reversed, the seller will be refunded the reimbursement amount back to the reimbursement payment method on file with eBay. Other fees will not be reimbursed. The seller cannot appeal to eBay if they have lost a chargeback or lost a case under PayPal Buyer Protection. In these cases, they must contact the relevant credit card company or PayPal, as appropriate.
Buyers may also appeal decisions. If a buyer successfully appeals a decision originally made in favour of the seller, eBay reserves the right to find for the buyer and reimburse the buyer by requesting that PayPal reverse the funds from the seller’s account to the buyer’s account. Where this is not possible, eBay reserves the right to reimburse the buyer directly and recover the reimbursement sum from the seller by charging the seller’s designated payment method or through other means, as necessary (including, without limitation, by engaging collections agencies).

Hope it gets sorted for you and if eBay get a little repetitive then they are required to show you proof of the return in which the buyer should have given them to approve him to get the money.also if appeal is rejected again in the buyers favour file with PayPal as well but wait til eBay dicide and close case or both will be rejected automatically.as this happen me before where eBay gave the buyer back his money and they also filed a chargeback so he got the item, his money and also my money. Hope it works out for you
