Nice battery charger with independent charging slots so you can charge 1/2/3/4 batteries. Better for your battery life and ensures each battery is charged to the max compared to the conventional battery charger which chargers in pairs only and stops charging the pair when the first one is full.

Also has the 8 individual charging slot version available here for £12.99:

Seems to have decent reviews not only for this product but their other products too.
Just do an amazon search for EBL. all of their items have 4*+ reviews with 00’s or 000’s of reviews.

Bought one in February for same price. It is really good and would recommend.
It says RRP £9.99?
Comparing this to the 8 bay one.. is it better as it can do individual charges? 8 bay is £12.43

I believe the 8 slot in the link in the descriptions is an individual charger too. So therefore can charge 1,3,5,7 batteries too
I would go for the 8 bay one. I have it and it's great.
I bought one of these last month, it's so much better than the Energizer chargers that I had. I would highly recommend this brand to anyone.
I got a energizer charger that would say my battery is fully charged(green LED), but if i remove it and plug right back in, it would turn to say half charged(amber LED). is that normal? if not then i should probably get this
I purchased some EBL high power AAA low self-discharge batteries recently as they had a higher power rating and were cheaper than the Sanyo/Panasonic eneloops that I had previously been purchasing.

Slightly off topic...

I'mlooking to stock up on some AA and AAA batteries and a good charger.
Probably the IKEA batteries

Is this sort of charger ok, or better to go for an intelligent charger - any recommendations?
Cheers!
How did you get 19.99 to 7.99?

It's reduced from 9.99.

I have one of these Technoline BL700N Intelligent Charger which has been excellent. If you have a lot of rechargeable batteries then I think it is well worth investing in a decent charger especially when you consider how many times you’re likely to use it over the years.

Edit: Here is a review that I just found from a quick web search. It is the same charger just rebadged for the European market. There was a much more in-depth online review which I read many years ago before purchasing mine. Will post a link if I manage to find it.

EBL AA is a very familiar brand! Oh hang on.. Ebola is the word it was reminding me of..
Do we need rechargeable batteries or normal batteries will work?

I had a similar issue, it turned out that the batteries were on there way out as in had reached their limit in terms of recharge cycles. I have a battery tester so I was able to see that they weren't being fully recharged.
Great timing, was just about to look for one of these! Thanks.

my new amazon basic rechargeable battery does the same though
I have the larger version of this, and it takes an oddly long time to charge. Although, that would make it somewhat less hard on the batteries than a toasty 1hr charger.

Any idea how yours compares to the Nitecore D4? It seems to be a lil cheaper at £20 on the bay and also does 18650's

Found this random but extremely detailed review on the Nitecore D4. First thing I noticed is it doesn’t seem to give you individual readings, which can be useful as batteries rarely reach fully charged all at the same time, for each battery which the BL700 does.

There may well be cheaper sellers for the BL700. I’m sure I’ve seen it for ~£27 on Amazon before.

Either charger will do a good job at recharging and looking after your batteries. And will be a significant upgrade on the cheap n cheerful ‘dumb’ fast chargers imo.
Ebay has the 8 slot charger plus 8 AA batteries for £19.99. ebay.co.uk/itm…206

I was just about to purchase a standard 4 slot amazon basics charger and amazon basic batteries. I only need them for the xbox controller. Has anyone got any bad experiences with the amazon basics battery range?
