Good price. Wonder what the battery life is like benchmark wise? I have seen 2 hours quoted in the reviews but thats personal calculations so not much of a benchmark to compare to other machines elsewhere If you get educational/NHS/MSDNAA versions of windows makes an ideal windows box, or a cheap linux box to run something such as Red Hat or even Vixta.

One of the reviews suggest a couple of different models so specs might be a bit better when you do get one.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the resolution of the screen was … I was pleasantly surprised to find that the resolution of the screen was 1680x1050 and not 1280x800 as I was expecting. My only issue with the screen is that 1680x1050 is the only 16:10 resolution available. There's no sign of 1440x900 or 1280x800. Instead there are only non 16:10 resolutions to select from, excluding the native res of the screen.

Thats a good news for a lot of people ..:w00t:
I have got Win 7 Ultimate NFR gathering dust on my table.
But I am reluctant to spend £299 on no brand laptop.
my £900 Toshiba power connector brokedown just after 12 months.
My acer laptop mother board failed within warranty. :whistling:

This should go freezing cold compared to the Dell Studio 17 with Vista for the same price was posted about two weeks ago (and went cold).

The bottleneck in the ebuyer notbook is the graphics. Only good for simple graphics on Win XP level.
