This is the one with the arctic cooling as well. Nice!

This was £5 more yesterday and I nearly posted it. Great price. Seems they have sorted the supply issues on this fabrication and are now behind on the 5xxx series fabrication, good old TSMC!

It looks to be an all aluminium heatsink but should still be better than the reference design.
I have a Thermalright V2 copper heatsink which is compatible and with the low power consumption of this a low RPM 80mm fan strapped to it should do the job in silence.

For those wondering how this performs you get about 90% of the performance of a HD 4850 but for half the power consumption so it’s easy to cool quietly.
The only downside is that idle power consumption is disappointingly high which they‘ve rectified with the 5xxx series.

Thanks looks a great price ...will this fit into a dell inpiron 545 running
Intel® Core™ 2 Quad-Core Q8300 Processor (2.50GHz, 4MB cache, 1333MHz FSB) 3072MB Dual Channel DDR2 800MHz [1x2048 + 1x1024] Memory and 640 HD .
With the low power consumption ..I`am sure I will have nps ..I hope. Please could some kind soul give me the heads up ,as its for my son`s entry level gaming.

Thanks guy`s and heat added.

Should do - Dell PSU's are usually good quality and would run a 4770 OK.

This will now replace the current PowerColor 4770 that I have in there but can run this via VGA and not have extra cm's taken up by the DVI adapter which really is getting to be a probkem at the back when it pushes the case forward out of the TV unit

I wonder how much more powerful this is than my silent passive geforce 6800gt ?

i was gonna get a 5770 but i think 2 of these will work out cheaper and significantly better.
i'm not sure though?

What's the power consumption like? Will one of these be too much for the power supply of the £200 EBuyer desktops going around at the moment?

Massively faster. Just make sure your mobo supports pci-e graphics cards.

Yes two 4770 will be better if your mobo has 2 pci-e x16 slots. But on the other hand you could buy a 5770 and add another one when needed?

The problem is most cheap psu's don't have a pci-e power connector or a spare molex plug. So normally the best you can go for is a 4670.

yeah thats what i was going to do but i'm thinking these will whip the 5770 (judging by the reviews) and when i do eventually upgrade i'll just sell these. and yes i've got 2 pci-e slots (well 3 actually but don't like to boast)
thanks for the advice. much appreciated.

molex adapter in the box plus a few cable adapters.. I have looked at that many links on this card I really can`t find the info again ,but they are included.

Cracking deal, time for a wee upgrade I think.

Must....resist....wait...for....Direct X 11 support...

Voted hot.

Is this a significant upgrade over my Radeon x1950 ?

Keep in mind that many new PCs only support SATA drives and therefore don’t use molex power connectors at all. This is certainly true for all recent Dell that I’ve seen.
I’ve not yet seen a dual SATA to PCIe power cable but they may be out there. You can buy SATA to Molex power adapters but the cabling then gets messy going from SATA to Molex to PCIe.

A bit of Butchering and modification should sort that mess out then ;-)

Yes as long as your chipset supports many when runnig xfire/sli only run (1X x16, 1X x8 or 2X x8 or 3X x8)

No it was not what connectors you need, but does your PSU have the spare connectors.

Would this be a a good upgrade for a ATI Radeon HD3600 ?
I'm a bit of a dummy when it comes to upgrades
Thank you

Ebuyer, like many other companies are charging an extra £9.99 to ship to Northern Ireland :?

Really hot deal, I have this card, got it for about £70 as a hot deal in September!

Yes it would be a good upgrade, depending on how far you wanna go and how much to spend. Excellent value upgrade I think. Depends if you use your PC for gaming and find it is lagging behind, or with other graphical processing.

Hi it's a MSI GD80 motherboard. i believe it runs x8 for each slot in crossfire. not a problem i hope?

looking to get my son a entry level pc and looking on the outlet site ,there are a few decent deals on quad core inspirons, so will most likely plum for one.
not too sure what the psu conections are ,but if needed will upgrade or butcher as it`s only a 300W psu .

does it just get "messy", or is it bad for the power supply / mother board in some way?

This is a great price, would get one but spent my last £'s on some xmas present, now do i take them back & get me one of these lol

It's just passing the power through so I don't think it's risky, just messy.

nope, its not bad for any component, its just introducing a third wheel into the equation (the sata to molex adaptor) and just confuses the issue, not to mention the added hassle of keeping it tidy to aid airflow and cooling

arh... just ordered the ebuyer extra value version of ati 4770 for £60.51, was the cheapest price, now the powercolour has been reduced to £55.31, i was going to pay extra for this powercolour card,

Now just have to wait what i would be getting, a random choice by ebuyer.

Hot!

Love ATI for making good gaming available to the mainstream (Favorite game is Zuma that I have to play on a laptop ):whistling:)

ahhh, just bought this exact card from these on friday and got it delivered today but paid £64.99, cracking price for an awesome card imho heat given

Hot deal, I joined just to add heat on this

Hot must resist.

Hot, but,

Games do need to catch up – i still do not find justifiable any upgrade from 3+ years old 8800GTX(OCed) gaming at 1600x1200 as power consumption savings come into benefit only within two years and i’m quite happy with my display – to get same quality WUXGA+ PVA panel would cost me twice the graphics card’s cash anyway. Hope this gen would solve it.

if this deal was available a few months ago i would have got 2 of these instead of my 4870

heat n rep
