Not the most popular product in the Echo family but this is the best price it's been since release.

With Echo Connect and a compatible Alexa-enabled device, you can ask Alexa to call anyone using your home phone service—all you have to do is ask. Echo Connect uses your home phone number, whether landline or VoIP, so friends and family will still recognise the call. Answer your home phone on your Echo hands-free so you can easily talk to anyone hands-free when you’re busy making dinner or away from the phone.

With the Alexa App, the contacts on your smartphone stay in sync with Alexa, so you never have to look up a number stored on your phone. You can also add your contacts on alexa.amazon.co.uk. When you receive a call from someone in your contact list, Alexa will announce who is calling.

*requires compatible Alexa-enabled device and home phone service

I have one of these. Bought one for my disabled mum who can't answer the phone and bought one for myself. Both keep dropping out connection to both phone line and wifi. No other device in my house has any wifi issue. Contacted customer services who replaced both and replacements have same issue. They are a good idea, shame they don't work. Mine are a year old. So unless these are newer models I would not recommend.

Looks a good idea in principal, but I can't recall seeing such a spread of reviews for a product on Amazon. Largely average to poor. Shame, tempted by it.

Agree. A great idea but results may vary depending on the user. I've been waiting for the price to drop lower than £24.99 to take a punt and see and personally can't complain for less than £20.
Like the idea but I’ll wait for gen 2

Agree. Some users are expecting a device that spoon feeds and does everything for them out of the box, rather than having to adjust settings, etc.
Even more spying from Amazon

agreed i am more of mossad, cia and mi5 type of person.
Just get a Google mini that can do this and more 😜
It was hit and miss when I first bought it. But now works without issue. You can also key in numbers via verbal command.
