Sorry in advance if I missed the point, what is the advantage you get when you posting a deal? I thought it's all about sharing knowledge and helping fellow citizens. (I don't have to any issue UkHd earning profit over this as I have saved few penny thanks to this site).
Do you need the Phillips hub for these?
Thanks

None at all as far as I know. The comment was for the other poster as he posted it the other day and the same person popped up saying he’d already posted it even though there was no link to the B22s the same as yours and the deal was deleted, this site is crazy sometimes. Anywho I hope yours stays.

Nope they work through Bluetooth either through the app or with the dot.

Thank you sir

Whilst You don’t need a hub I would still suggest picking one up from ebay to get the most of Hue. Automaton is the main benefit, which you lose without a hub
Great price for these thank you. Looks like only the plum echo is in stock at the moment.

ETA: I agree with @sh20 about the automation - very useful security, making it look like someone is home, especially as it’s usually dark before we get home from work at the moment and lots of people will be away from home over Christmas.

Waiting for this to get to 99p :-)
So if you buy this set you don’t need any other hub/device???
Bought these and the bulbs arrived this morning. Got it all connected up fine, but does anyone know if I can use the dimmer switch without a hub?

I see Amazon sells it as a stand-alone set, but I’m not sure how to pair the switch or if it’s a newer model with Bluetooth.

Switch and Bluetooth bulb link: amazon.co.uk/dp/…BZ/

I’ll get a hub eventually, but for convenience now I’m just after two lights and a switch.
Nope. I’ve got them up and running with just my phone.

Are these Philips Hue Bulbs 10W equivalents to 60W or 40W? And is it cool white or warm white?
Gone?
