‌ I was sarcastic. Can't say if it is a good or a bad deal, but can't understand why same product is cold today and a few hours later same product but different post is hot. I have the white one and looks fine to me. The charcoal is still in the box, but I think any of the colours go with pretty much everything. Waiting for the bright red one:)

The amount of times they've been going for £20-25 on their own or as part of bundles etc makes it hard to bite at this price.
It's a waiting game!

You can get 2 of these (if you're in the market for two) at Currys Ebay store for £59.98, I posted it as a deal yesterday but it got removed, even though its still on the site.

My son wants this for xmas, is there any other costs once i purchase that i need to know about please. I have read about monthly subscriptions, can he use this without that?

you can listen to music on it fine all other costs will be through amazon prime like ordering reeocuring items and that.. i would check on the description first before purchasing but im sure they dont have any other costs.

Only if he subscribe to Amazon Music, Spotify, places like these to listen music. Can listen to its own playlist, radio, etc, but if he wants unlimited music on line, he need to pay for these. Can access music if he has Amazon prime, or pay £3.99 a month for Amazon music one device. With some luck, he may get offers such as 3 months music for free, or serious discounts for the first months. I used for about a year various promotions and didnt pay anything.

However, the Dot3 is not the best for music. Keep an eye, with some luck, you may find the bigger Echo for £10-20 more, or a refurbished Echo for almost the same price as the Dot. Echo 1 refurbished was posted here a few days ago for £45 I think. I've got Echo 2 refurbished and looked brand new but had generic box. If you get this one, don't pay more than £25, it will come down in price again.

Is it just me that sees the thumbnail for these and think ooh another lazy spa

Amazon are making an announcement on 25 Sept, maybe more echo devices. But these are always on offer. Prime day soon.

You can also use them with apple music now.

I have an Echo Plus 2 and ordered some Philips Ambience White Lights for the house today from JL on offer, to try out. If I get one of these for the bedroom will you be able to switch the lights on and off in that room, to work in tandem with the echo plus. Or does the Echo Plus only have the ability to work on voice command for the lights.

Yes, they all sync up together.
Personally o think these are great for bedrooms or loving rooms. You only need the bigger Echo devices for parties and booming sound.
