Been looking through the hundreds of multi tool systems out there, reading reviews, watching videos and such.

To me it was obvious I didn't want a 2 stroke engine, the cheaper ones don't seem reliable enough and I cant be bothered with mixing oil and fuel.

Looking through all the 4 stroke options I came across this, £244.98 on Eckman's own site.

No estimated delivery time at the moment, but I'm in no rush.

Unless you are an exceptionally heavy user (time not fat ) Then you really do want a 2 stoke in this application. Yes you have to mix fuel and oil, despite popular myth they are not less reliable they just have a shorter service life.

The benefits - more powerful and considerably lighter and much cheaper. You could get an equivalent 2 stroke unit with all the attachments for almost half the price.

Presumably Amazon offered a refund? May I ask what went wrong (bought a similar model that is due next week)?
I don't know why, but something about a tool that the manufacturer feels it needs to have "Middle added pole" and "pole hedge trimmer" printed on its accessories to tell you what they are, makes me think it is probably a bit crap. (_;)

How reliable are 4-stroke pole tools, do they run well at any angle like a 2-stroke would, ie when tilted or inverted without burning oil or the bearings running dry of lubrication? And does it matter what side or angle you lie them down on when stored, as it does with some small 4-stroke outboards.
