Grab a bargain while you can! These dehumidifiers are brilliant.....completely cured the condensation problem in our conservatory. I could not resist buying another one for upstairs at this price....the lowest it has been for ages.

Can't remember how much I paid for this when I bought it a couple of years ago. I use this more for drying laundry and it is fab. If it packed up tomorrow I would not hesitate to get exactly the same again. Top product!!

We have had ours for over two years now and it still works fine. The good thing with eco-air is you get a two year warranty. I get what you mean about leaving the doors open but our conservatory is large and really does need one of its own in the winter.

Good deal, I have an older model and it works great.

I paid twice this for mine. it's great!!!!

I'm curious, does the fan on the DD122 Simple keep running for a couple of minutes after you switch it off (as it does on my DD1 Classic Mk 5)? I can't see it mentioned in the manual.

Model rated at 612W high power and 360W low power. I haven't noticed much of an increase in the electricity bill and ours in on for several hours every day in the winter.

Thank you. Was looking at the meaco earlier today 255w , but it's over double the price.

Thanks, I wonder why not? My manual says "After turning the dehumidifier OFF, the fan will continue to run for a two minute period. This is a normal procedure and helps to cool & protect the internal components." You'd think they would both do the same.

Either way, I guess it means that the 'Simple' could be used with an external timer.

To be fair I never heard it running but the tv was on I will have a look in the manual and see if it says anything!

After turning off do not remove power socket allow unit to cool down for a min.5 mins to help protect the internal components. Hope this helps.

good deal, shame its not the mk5 version

superb price!

Got one about 6 months ago to control condensation in the colder months, does that job well but I now don't need to run a tumble dryer as this dries clothes very well, highly recommended

Wattage on these are too high. Get a compressor instead for lower running costs.

Very good product. Bought one from Amazon a year ago when it was around this price. mainly using it to dry the laundry on the airer, and its working perfectly since. I would definitely recommend this. Heat added.

Fantastic have this and the recent DeLonghi one that came up on Amazon lightning deal. Prefer this one as this defo picks up more moisture on similar settings. Also prefer being able to pick humidity control unless timer of DeLonghi

Been looking for a decent priced dessicant to try for a while, this is easily best price I've seen & it fits the bill perfectly, cheers!

Paid £124.95 a week ago

Desiccant works well at low temperatures, unlike compressor types.

1. How much do the cost to run per hour (approx)?

2. How do people dry clothes with these instead of tumble dryer? How? Where do the clothes go etc etc

Paid £160 a couple of years ago. Put it on in the morning for a couple of hours to clear the moisture in a flat. Really decent, no more water on the windows!

Which is good if you live in an igloo. Of you live in a normal house and your temp is around 15c compressor works fine for less wattage.

Yes the fan runs for a few minutes after you switch it off, it says in the manual it's to prevent overheating

Desiccant is quieter, more effective at extraction (unless you live in a hot climate) warms the room (lowering heating bills), more compact/lighter.

Totally agree. Have had a compressor and desiccant. Compressor packed up after 6 months, and heck of a noise from the unit. Didn't extract anything near the amount of my current desiccant unit of a similar size/wattage. Wouldn't even look at a compressor unit after my own experience.

Expired. Was a lightning deal that's just finished.

Damn, shouldn't of bothered to check Which? first.

I use this to dry my clothes during the night on 1.5 setting, it does the job well. Don't like using it to dry towels mind makes them feel rough.

lesson learned - buy the lightning deal first - they are not going to dispatch before you do your homework after! Which is what I've been doing as mines on specific day delivery and it will be tomorrow at least before they ship it out - plenty time to cancel...

I have two of these brand very similar one like the above and another larger 15L one. They have been running for 24/7 for about 3/4 years?

One broke and was repaired under warranty and has been faultless since. I use them to try my clothes and keep the house dry rather than it going in the walls. Great little machines
