I bought the kids one of these from home bargains and they are good, lots of colours and dimmer & flash/fade functions with the remote, kids even had a little disco in their room Id rather spend the extra at HB than take a chance on one from china that will arrive in about 6 weeks

these are crap, remotes not very responsive and bulbs not bright enough

these are great, remotes very responsive and bulbs bright enough

I bought one a few weeks ago and am honestly impressed with it.
It is in a lamp in an alcove and when on white light it lights up just as well as my previous bulb.
When watching TV or listening to music the colours it emits are atmospheric and set the mood.
I recommended it to my friends so cant say better than that.

Bought 3 of these and worth every penny well pleased.Ideal for my little girls bedroom with the changing colour feature and great on power usage in think about 3.5 watts on the colours and 7 watts on the white.

perfect for the bedroom so u don't have to get out of bed to turn the light off. it can also set a nice mood depending on what you want.

I found the white light to be very good and the bulb to be very easy to control form the remote. Only trouble is the remote control for my youview box triggers it from white to colour fade mode.

Got one and quite pleased. Now I can be strapped into my f'machine and dim the lights to dark red with my strapped in hand.

thanks for all the positive feedback I will definitely get one now

Mine seems to be a little glitchy wrt dimming. There are intermediate stages between lowest and highest output but sometimes it just goes max to min and vice versa.

I bought one from Asda for £8.99 recently. Its excellent and my little ones love making a little disco in their room.

500 lumens is not bright enough. It is equivalent to a 40W incandescent bulb.

huffyhole

Has anyone got 2 or more? Will they work on the same remote?

Just nipped out to Home Bargains to get one of these as my 6 year old won't get out of bed until someone puts his light on! (hopefully a short phase) anyway, it is fantastic, thanks OP! Going back for for another 2 tomorrow, one for me and one for a xmas pressie ☺

Do these save the last colour selected when switched off at the wall?

Yes they do

any recommendation for a similar bulb with a higher watts(9+ Watts) for color changing aswell as oppose to 4W?

Heat added. Ordered a few for myself and as presents. Thank you OP

Highly recommended, we have 2 (in the bedrooms), 17 year old son loves his, we love ours!

made me laugh!

My experience with cheap-no-name LED bulbs has been dire. After 8 months 3 out of 4 bulbs have died and not a single standard CFL bulb has died in any of those sockets since the same amount of time. I opened up one of the bulbs and part of the circuit had actually completely burnt out and it smelt of burning.

I have no idea if that was potential fire hazard but for the sake of a few pounds I'll be buying branded bulbs in the future and not taking the risk.

My children love theirs. The 7w bright white light is easily bright enough

Pick one up, brighter than I expected, fine for hallway or bedroom, remote is very responsive too.

Yeh eBay from China are are fine to about £2 I think
