I put 5ltrs of white wine vinegar in my machine on an empty 90 wash. Came up sparkling and smells fresh.
Was so impressed I did the same with the dishwasher.
Then I emptied the toilets and cisterns, filled with boiling water and put 2.5ltrs of white wine vinegar in them. Got rid of water marks/stains and limescale
So, forget chemicals and nasties, try white wine vinegar first. Also, it's very cheap.

This is how companies sell stuff nowadays.. plaster Eco friendly and vegan all over it and people will lap it up.
Ordered, thank you
Stopped using my dishwasher as was leaving a grime... plan to take pipes apart for a good clean through so fingers crossed this helps too... worth a bash for £3 odd... thanks OP

Probably because you haven't cleaned the filter
Price gone up now, heat @ £3.32 though
Looks like deal has ended

You’d think so but I took all the filters etc out first but still wasn’t right... removed sink pipes over the summer and they were soiled more than I expected so I’m convinced it’s the pipes... conveniently I put the pipe through a cupboard wall hole so need to put time aside to undo and redo and change the angles as I suspect there’s an area of ‘sitting’ water(sludge even maybe )... Hand washing has been fine and the dishwasher is great storage
I cancelled my order as the reviews weren't exactly great.

I've used these for years, they work a treat. 10 years our old Bosch Classix is still going strong (well at my mum's now, we upgraded last year).

Edit: oos now
