Just saw him tonight in Cov and he mentioned he had a DVD out a bit ago, and just found this and how cheap it was!

The stand up comedian's show from the City Varieties, Leeds in March 2006.

Why cold?

Dont vote it cold and not leave a reason, if its cheaper elsewhere, let us know!

It's actually £4.99 delivered at Play. Probably the reason for the cold votes. I like Ed Byrne but unfortunately I'll have to vote this deal cold too. Sorry.

Thats fine then, but Play one is out of stock! and £4.98 is cheaper than £4.99 where I live! ( I know it has to be over £5 for free delivery but you can add stuff for pence with the tool finder)

I'm sure it'll come back in stock fairly soon.

Oh, and don't get funny with people for voting cold because you haven't posted the best deal in the world.

I feel your pain Cookie. I myself have been reprimanded for voting cold on a load of sh!te deals without leaving a reason. Apparently it goes against forum rules to vote cold without leaving a reason. I see this on a regular basis and find it frustrating after receiving a profile infraction for the same reason. I also now find myself not voting cold unless I have time to leave a reason for fear of receiving another infraction. This I feel, defeats the whole purpose of this forum. But then this forum is not what it used to be. No offense taken anyway Cookie.

I feel I may have overused the word 'reason' in that last reply! lol

Ed Byrne is a great comedian, mystifyingly under-rated. I saw him performing live in Hammersmith two weeks after Chris Rock and he was far better than Rock, who spent most of his ninety minutes hooting and ranting and rarely actually saying anything.

Byrne's stuff is brilliantly observed, subtle, and bristling with superb one-liners. When I watched the last Secret Policeman's Ball I was disappointed at how much the established acts just told incredibly dirty stories with no punchlines... not that I mind dirty stories, but they're a poor substitute for good gags. When the big names seem to have got lazy and self-indulgent; Byrne's stand-up comedy is the real thing.
