will this work with iphone 4

One of the reviews on Play:

Just thought I should mention that when I dock my iphone it states that it is not designed for iphone, allthough it does charge and play music, and as far as I can see the only compatability issue is that it cant automaticaly display the clock as it does with the ipod which isn't the end of the world.

One from Amazon:

Very pleased with the if200+ alarm clock works great with the iPhone, charges it overnight and wakes me up to my own playlist.

Had one of these, Its a bit flaky sometimes.. For an alarm clock, that isn't a good thing...

i dont know if its just me but ive had things before that worked and then when apple put out a update it stoped working like my car charger and radio streaming thingy, just a warning like i say it could just be my bad luck. cheers for the info though mate.

This is still available, but now £13.99

I ordered this when it was first posted and now had time to play around with it. Firstly, I must say that I am no uber techno-geek, but consider myself competent to set-up any normal device such as this product; I've only trialled it with an iPod Classic. However, it was a total pain to set-up and ensure that it was working correctly. Admittedly, the majority of issues were with the iPod and not the dock; for example, I couldn't understand why it wasn't playing at the pre-determined time and only later found that the date for the alarm on the iPod had moved onto the next day so wouldn't wake-up when I kept trying at different times to see if I had it mastered.

I am still not confident that it will wake-up at the alarm time and have to use an additional alarm clock when using this dock as a back-up. The sound is nowhere near a conventional iPod Dock quality, but will suffice for the job; I would say that it isn't as good, or loud, as an X-Mini II portable speaker that are often listed on this site.

Is it worth the cash - probably, but just don't expect too much and the instructions that come with the product are very basic and only provide half the requirements for using the product with confidence.
