Dyson have this on ebay outlet down to £169.99.

I've got the absolute and the fluffy and the fluffy is better on hard floors.

Edit: Refurbished official Dyson. 1 year Gaurantee. Some have managed to get 2 yrs by registering online.

Why are people voting cold?

No idea. I'm looking for one of these but so many options I'm confused.

Can this hoover replace a standard one ?
Also will be there a massive difference between this Dyson ones and an equal in design from VAX (apart from price )?

Sorry this is a Dyson not a hoover. You probably meant vacuum cleaner

Wondering if it would be better to get the bundle deal from AO, and sell the light ball, multi room.

Doesn't the Absolute come with the Fluffy hard floor attachment?

Also, people are voting cold because Dyson... Some people just hate Dyson. It'll go hot eventually

Nope. V8 absolute does though.

V6 absolute has a HEPA filter which this doesn't though.

It sure is a muddle.

Ahh, hence my confusion! Cool, didn't realise

At a glance I thought this said Dyson Fury. That's a name they should definitely consider it would be meme gold!

Tell me about it! The Dyson range used to be really simple to understand but now there's so many variations, then you've got three model ranges (V6, V7 and V8) to try to compare across too.

I always assumed that, for example, all the V6s would be identical bar the accessories and heads but now it seems some have filters, some don't etc.

Yup! Shame as I would have already bought one but think I'll need to go to a shop and have someone talk me through it

Had this model for about a year now no noticeable drop off and never cleaned the filter so I’m sure a refurbished one would be fine. It’s the same as the v6 absolute so has the hard floor attachment same as the v8 only difference is a slightly narrower carpet cleaning attachment. Have a 3 bed semi detached house 50:50 carpet and wood floors. Does whole house on one charge on normal mode. Obviously the v8 absolute refurbished is better at £249 but that’s quite a lot more money and this one does the job fine it’s just not quite as refined!

I have both, the V6 absolute has a extra hepa filter at the back. Which isn't a deal breaker as the central conical filter found on both does a very good job. The fluffy does push a little more air out the exhaust because of this.

The only other difference between the absolute and fluffy is the design of the hard floor attachment. The fluffy is superior in every way.
The absolute is just a vacuum head with some rubber around the area edge so just pushes bigger pieces around it and also feels akward and unwielding imo.

The absolute has a really good carpet head, but I think the fluffy is a better compromise for homes with different floor types as it has two motorised heads in the box one for hard floor and carpet. Both also come with a mini motorised head good for stairs and upholstery plus a crevice tool and adjustable duster type tool.

On normal mode it is plenty adequate to go over a average size house.

Tried to share the differences best I can. Hope it helps.

Will add nothing is interchangeable between models, that includes the waste bin, wand and heads. The battery are the same but they are not quick release, two screws holding it in.

Dyson Fury, that's awesome. Dyson Fury should have its own twitter account and call out Vax cordless for a duel

Had ours over a year now with no problems. Use it to clean the car as well which its perfect for. Battery life is about 15 minutes but its surprising how much you can get done in that time.
