Tokyo Laundry is not good quality, you do get what you pay for here. I would liken it to a market trader that started selling on the internet.

Thanks, ordered a coat. Free no hassle returns which is great, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered.

huge thanks wishihadadonkey for this

Garbage

Similar quality to Superdry and exactly the same sizing. My husband wears both brands and never had a problem with the quality. Always wash and iron well. Just my opinion!

Got the last one last year in a similar kind of sale, it's a decent parka and the quality's fine, especially for £30. The hood's massive and comes down to about eye level, but I can't fault anything else. It's a bit warm for the current temperatures, nice in winter though.

Picked up some cheap acrylic blend knitwear in that sale too and that was decent quality for the price, just to offset all the comments about them being crap.

Received the Carmine Fur Trim Hooded Parka Jacket in Khaki yesterday (second picture in the original post). It's decent quality and fits very well. Only criticism is no draw string around the waist to prevent the drafts. Other than that, very pleased.

I would also say that the quality is reasonable, I personally wouldn't get anything that might shrink (because it will!) but jeans, coats, shirts that I've got have been fine.

Quality is really not that bad compared to what you pay. Do not expect it to sustain as long as expensive alternatives tho

Bought a wool pea coat from them last year which was (and still is) fantastic quality. Bought the navy blue parka and matching hat this time round and that is really nice too. It's thick enough to keep you warm and light enough to be comfortable too. Couldn't disagree more with the market trader comment.

clean pallets

Ordered. Thank you

Tokyo Laundry is good-enough quality but as with most brands of this ilk (and I include SuperDry, Animal and Penguin here), are well overpriced at full price. Most of my boxers are TL from TK Maxx (although I bought some in the TL sale a while back) and they're the most comfortable I've ever had (better than Armani and CK, only bettered by Ted Baker).

I've also bought their T-shirts and jogging 'bottoms' (or 'pants') and they've been great as lounge wear but I wouldn't use them for sports. Ordering online is always a lottery with almost all brands and the single exception in my past has been Boden (although their stuff is a little generic and boring for many). As this thread suggests, it's fine for some and not for others.

The biggest issue I have (as an XL kinda-guy) is that the sizings are all over the place with all of these. This has always been the case and a SuperDry staff member said they purposely make them smaller so that larger people aren't wearing their gear (XXL is a rarity for them but it's all that fits me). However, SuperDry's Idris collection is amazing if you can stretch to something a little more expensive.

My suggestion would be to find a TK Maxx and see what brand suits your personal style and fit (the caveat being that if it's in TK Maxx, there may well be a reason for that). Nothing replaces the ability to try something on and simply hanging it back up (without the faff of having to send it back).

The green Parka jacket (second picture down) had mediums in stock... unless I just ordered the last one!

Thought about the wool blend parka then a search shows it has been at least a fiver cheaper previously, without the itchy acrylic hat thought admittedly
