It you only use 10gb or less per month (like me) then the £20 100gb is £120 a year wasted.

Being with both EE and O2 I feel like EE have better signal and connection but O2 is cheaper for more data

I just got 100GB Sim Only on Three at £12pm for 12 months, they're still doing that + £62 on top cashback.

Student code don't work so I used blue light code and it worked fine however I got email from ee saying please contact them. Lady on the phone said they can't give that deal for £8 has it is already discounted. I can have the deal for £10 ..Had to cancel it put me off

Switched to O2 during the middle of the pandemic. I've realised the more I travel around how crap their speeds are even when it says connected to 4G. Feels hugely throttled in Swansea area and some blackspots too. It's a shame as I have enjoyed O2 Priority but EE and Three were never like this in the decade I had before switching.
Im sure O2 is great for some people and in many locations but it looks like this is the best value route back to EE.

Three are terrible around the outskirts of Leeds, EE are solid even out in the sticks.

I'm not sure if I'm missing something but it seems like you don't get much more if anything than what was available a year ago (edited)

I've had it saying 4g but download speeds of 0.1mbps. Just pointless having 80gb of data if I can't use it

To be fair I use 3.5gb on average for years so this deal of £10 for 10gb on a reliable network makes sense really! May get lucky with it getting cheaper on a retention deal after 12 months

How you keeping? It went 2yrs ago at the end of its lease, replaced by a 1.4 Octavia, not quite the same!

Have you still got yours? Awesome machines.

There's a discussion on here that says a new SIM is automatically added to your account if you use the same details, here's hoping.

I used BLC through the MSE £10 10gb link. I have had no direct experience of using student discounts on this deal so perhaps I should not have mentioned trying it. Just thought it was worth a try if you can access one. Apologies. (edited)

Same with Voda/Voxi. I switched to save a fiver (£20 for 30GB to £15 for 30GB plus unlimited video) and to Voxi's credit it's super fast at home and due to some technical issues my account never uses up ANY data. But now I'm going places again I'm considering going back.

It's weird after being on EE seeing 3G again but there are loads of areas where that rears its ugly head on Voda, O2 and Three in the North West region. And then you go to a city and have "5G" but do a speed test on it and find it's going at 3G or even EDGE speeds (like, below 1Mbps) due to contention.

EE in my experience has no less than 4G anywhere and just works even in busy places. You don't get many deals on it these days unless you're a student, but I guess, you get what you pay for.

You want to try central London mate… 3 being terrible is a severe understatement.. they aren’t terrible, you’d have to have a signal to be terrible and there ain’t no signal..

EE are top for speed closely followed by O2 and I agree on the speed being less on O2

Quote a similar deal you can find and be confident with them your happy to walk to the other provider. Once you decline the initial offer and your a good customer they will throw something better.

This uswich deal has been going for well over a year now, all they done is put it up to 5G it use to be 4g.
still not a bad deal but you would think by now they would give you deals where you get it half price for 3mths/6mths like a lot of the other providers,when and if they do that i think i would switch to them.

How do we avail the student discount? Does uSwitch price drops down to £8?

Just signed up to this after 10 month on o2. Atleast for me where I live ee is miles better then o2, I can have 4g bars but literally no internet with o2.

You either need to be a student with access to a college .ac.uk email address or know someone who does. Same with a BLC discount code. They both generate codes that you enter at checkout. It worked for me, £8, but mine was through the MSE link, not uswitch, so can’t say for sure. (edited)
