EE Essentials is a plan to sell excess capacity on EE network. Unless you live in the jungle, EE network has no excess capacity. So your phone data does not work on EE Essentials until middle of the night when most people are asleep . EE network is only one to claim 90 percent UK 4G coverage so may work for some who live in middle of nowhere.

Excess capacity? EE Essentials isn’t EE resellers Virgin etc it has VoLTE & Wi-fi Calling, next best deal is Virgin for 45GB/£18 with less coverage.

They want you to pay £2 more for priority and that’s very very cheap given it’s BT

Sit next to person with EE Max or BT and see what you are missing.. His phone will work, your won't due to lack of data even though you may have unlimited data in your account. So EE may be best network for people on EE Max and BT, it is crap for those EE Essentials due to the low priority discrimination. That is only reason they can give large amounts of data for cheap because they know it won't work if the EE network is busy.

I’m a Max customer and it’s pathetic in Scotland past Glasgow/Edin - Vodafone & Three speeds are on par, o2 just under and EE three times slower than even o2. I have the EE Max 25GB £6 & Sky £5 8GB sims as EE sometimes gives coverage in the odd non o2 signal.

Max & Essentials are on par up here.
lol scam !!!!
