Is this a EEmax tariff?
No I think they don't do the max plan no more.

How do I get a 20% discount?

NUS card gets you 20% off
Next dumb question. Can I upgrade tariff if I'm halfway through a EEsim only deal?
You need to add to the title, you need to add it to the checkout for the extra £5 off, it only shows as £30 online for the 40gb until you add it to the checkout.
Virgin mobile do £18 for 45gb this month and use the EE network
I got the Virgin one as well
Hopefully soon the networks will do enough of a data allowance to bin landline fibre and purely use 4G. My 'fibre' through Voda maxes out at 39mb thanks to archaic copper cable and is often throttled to 25mb but my BT mobile signal (EE) is 67mb solid.

No the answer is fibre to premises.Theu have stupid fair use policies and throttling. You cannot get the sustained output with WiFi . I have unlimited data on mobile but I know I still need home broadband as well.

I know they use to let you move up tariffs, not down. So if you're paying more than £25 a month at the moment, you won't be able to 'downgrade' to this
Tethering allowed?

Tethering allowed?

EE do let you use your whole allowance for tethering. It's one of the reasons I stick with them

They still do the max plan but only on 20gb and 60gb.

I usually use 500gb per month on my 350mb virgin line at home....don't think I'll be switching to 4g at home anytime soon. Even on EEmax plan I rarely get more than 80-90Mbps

It's limited to 40mbps more than enough for me

Why waste money
If you don't need 40GB,get the 20GB for £11.58 after TCB
Are you sure you can add the 20% discount. I can't add my staff discount to time limited offers like this. Make sure you check the t&C's of any discounts before you buy.

My "upgrade" options included upgrades and downgrades - and I am only 2 months into my latest "upgrade" on a sim only.

How much is enough though?
Three do 100gb data allowance for £31 a month. Admittedly, only 30GB is permitted for personal hotspot but there are ways around that.

Only on 24m handset plans, sim has been dumped. 5 extra non EUroaming countries is only if you sell your soul to them.

Let me add my 20% discount no problem - so just moved from 25Gb @ £20 (after discount) to 40Gb @ £20 (after discount). Works great for data sharing across the family sims which are all with EE.

Isn’t staff friends and family 40% though? But you are right usually a plan like this is discounted and staff may or may not (or the computer) refuse a % discount off ontop - EE was this shambles before BT so it’s only going to get worse! It should be made clear on each plan what discounts can be applied, at least when you are logged in as a minimum.

I use EE as my backup (divert to) and had a issue with a PAC I was told was sorted, 10 months later I discovered it wasn’t sorted and all incoming was lost into cyberspace, it had been mentioned a few times “number not recognised” to me but when I was trying to replicate the issue my main number had coverage, I didn’t think the divert was were the issue was. I hope your bosses new mantra pulls off because EE, BT & Plusnet customer care call centres can be a joke as bad as Vodafone in my experience - never wing it and lie to a customer - it’s NOT customer care call centre workers, and karma is a ass.

That’s what I do, don’t even use the EE for its voice/texts out (good for emergency use coverage) but the data sharing on the EE sim in my (voice capable) Huawei tablet is great - pay £8 for a data sim justto use my existing data EE, lol not likely!

50Mbps (upgraded for all V) & unlimited data for £20/25 (depending on when you bought the sim, £20 Black Friday everyone/£25 existing Virgin Media customers).

Little difference between my EE/Virgin coverage/speeds in my area, at 3AM I can get 75mbps EE but during the day my Virgin sim performs MUCH better than EE who throttle and Virgin who don’t traffic manage.

I can’t even use 4G Voice/VoLTE on EE as calls break up badly, so it’s data only, never a issue on dropping to Virgin 3G for calls.

Still I can use WiFi Calling with EE so it’s good to have my Voxi and Virgin sim diverts set to EE/Three sim’s if needs be.

what was EE max?

This is a hot deal btw. I paid £35 for a 16GB Three sim which lasts a year at the weekend as Virgin Media decided they didn't want me to have broadband for 160+ hours.
Yeh, add code and it will knock another 20% off making it £20. Hot

i'm a big fan of wires for stability (normally, not including my recent VM downtime) and security, but check out 5G, 20Gb/s and low latency, it's a real game changer.

I attempted to play Fifa 18 online hotspoted through my Samsung s8 on 4G ee. It was a disaster and totally unplayable. Went straight back to 17mb adsl and it was so much smoother

Went in store. They said I couldn't upgrade, but then did £35 tariff and added a £10 loyalty discount.

They wouldn't take my NUS card though. Have to go back with Unidays code.

Virgin don’t decide anything, they just wing it...and spend on repairs as needed. “Oops we’ve lost SW1 connection, better spend that £50,000 now as Account credits are going to cost more if we don’t”.

i call it “Fling it” fling money to save money...it’s very common way most companies deal with their tech problems, even the biggest IT Security companies do it, only when they sense massive amount contracts maybe incoming do they built anything new and have a fancy press release, a BT exchange with fancy glass windows all Uber sleek and modern sells.
