EE 5GB/month 4G data sim for tablet / iPad Mini / USB dongle / Mi-Fi - £10.99 per month, first month free, 30 day contract @ Currys

This data sim deal is back, but unlike the previous one on EE's website it doesn't require a voucher code to get it. Offer is only available in-store and ends on the 2nd September according to the website.

5GB per month on 4G for £10.99. Great if you picked up one of the Huawei E5776 4G Mi-Fi for £20 recently. Can also be used in cellular tablets, USB dongles etc etc.

30 day contract means you can cancel at any time (though you need to give 30 days notice).

this should go hot - like the last £10.99 / 5GB deal

Great deal!

I might be wrong, but I do not think the first 30 days is free, the 1p cost is the price of the sim, but you still will have to pay the £10.99 to start the contract.

probably not

EE seem to have a standard deal right now for first month free - that's how the "other" deal via Quidco worked

first month free then £10.99 from month 2

just had my first month bill .... £0.00

EliTom

Available at Phones 4 U also, the first month is completely free no up front cost for sim.

The MiFi deal was better, £19.99 for a MiFi with a free months service was superb, hope this comes back around again.

3 do a sim for £15.99 a month 1 month contract with totally unlimited Data, not 4g (They will be in December) I know but it hits very fast speeds.

Wouldnt go back to ee even if they paid me. Zero service, zero customer care, law breakers.

Just look on their twitter page for the list of identical complaints.

Also available in EE retail stores till September 1st.

Rusty, what is the name of the Three plan that provides unlimited mobile broadband data? I can't immediately find it on Three's mobile BB plans page. Thanks.

You use one of the phone Sim only tarrifs, "The One Plan" it's totally unlimited data + tethering is allowed so works fine in MiFi, Dongle ETC. And you get the added bonus of free minutes/texts for backup as well if you want to pop the sim in a phone. It's £18 on their site but we got it for £15.99?

Not needed one for ages, but I always just ordered a one month SIM off three mobile as the TCB was higher than the months usage. Had free internet for about 5 months, actually made a few quid in fact!

Yes it's my girlfriends main broadband, I unlocked the MiFi from the deal on here with a code off eBay for 99p, The One Plan's work fine, totally unlimited internet. Check the big thread on here about tarrifs there is an excel spreadsheet as well.

Every time I have attempted to access data via a Three handset SIM in a non-handset device, I have received the block page.
Probably worth noting for others that using the One Plan SIM in a non-handset device is against the t&c, but if it works in some devices for the time being...

The other option is a mega cheap Android phone and use it as a mobile hotspot, just like a MiFi

Also I think 3 keeps a record of 3 branded MiFi devices so instantly block, other network or sim free ones are usually fine.

Exactly what I use at the moment, with the benefit of back-up phone number and battery, plus oodles of minutes.

No that's not the case I have unlocked Mifis and they do not work work with my contract phone Three SIM I think its to do with the new SIMs its possible with the older SIM it works but with new SIMs (Mine is about 11 months old) you get a polite block web page.

I have a 4g myfi and with EE 4G SIM its blindingly fast! This will get hot.

4G is completely pointless with a small download limit like this. May as well get 3g with a higher data allowance.

Imagine watching a 720p netflix film outdoor on a laptop with this... You'd probably not even get to watch the full film.

OK. So why do EE have trouble creating plans like this with voice included?

Already on a 30 day 4GEE mobile broadband deal? call them up!

I was already on a 30 day EE mobile broadband contract for £15.99 for 3GB, called them up, 30 minutes on hold as they checked it out but they just updated it for me. From my new allowance renew date i will be on 5GB for £10.99 forever.

Can't get the free 30 day though but still worth it.

Anyone know if Currys are likely to let you combine this deal with the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi E5776 deal (presently at £49.00)?? Thought of getting the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi E5776 even though it has gone up in price, but obviously daft going for 3 Gig of data at £14.99 when this is 5 gig for £10.99. Do not fancy going through the 'hoops' of getting both deals and then trying to cancel the more expensive data plan. Anyone know if it would be easy for me to take out the 2 data plans on the same day?? Additionally how easy is it to cancel on the same day avoiding paying for a second month and what is the number to ring. Finally for cancellations - can these be done on a Saturday??
Thanks!!!

Agreed. Worst service I've experienced from any company. Still, this deal seems good

Yeah EE 4G is awesome! we killed the allowance on 2 MiFi in a week though with light use :(, girlfriend doesn't want to get proper broadband so using the MiFi

Interestingly we ordered the 3 sim online about a week ago, On "One Plan" which works absolutely fine in the EE Branded MiFi, all I had to do was add 3's APN settings, it seems mega quick and has been in use for over a week, it's not redirecting to a page?

Yes, I would be very careful, too. They play it fast and lose, and if things go wrong they will wreck your credit rating. Is that worth it? I do not think so.

The MiFi deal tempted me, this one is really just a free month...

Deal ok. Company providing the deal, the worse ever.
Customer service poor
Coverage poor
Even if you manage to get a signal and even then, your connection will be more miss than hit it is very slow.
They have too many customers now and are struggling to cope with all the people on there network, that is what I believe.

Just done what an earlier user suggested, I'm on the 3gb 15.99 deal. Called em, mentioned the new deal, 5 mins on hold then just moved me on to this deal, including the one month free also... Happy days!

Just got this deal - took about half an hour for the guy to set-up. Apparently it comes through on their screens at £20.99 and EE apply the discount.

Anyway, in terms of speed - disappointing. I'm in Colchester, and although I know speeds vary wildly depending on location/device etc, from my bedroom I'm getting 8mbps down and 13mbps up. In comparison, the 3 SIM in my iPhone 5 is registering 25mbps down and 3mbps up. Obviously the upload is impressive on EE... but I know which one I'd prefer! Heyho... a free month of inter netting, and should keep me entertained whilst waiting at Stansted Airport!

Just done exactly this, was trying to cancel my 3GB account and start a new one with this deal but they weren't having it due to credit ratings, just called them up, un-cancelled the account and switched to 10.99 for 5GB of data. I've had no such problems with their customer service either, they've been nothing but helpful for me.

I called customer services and tried to convert my existing £15.99 30 day plan to this one. No go ...they even called the local store to me to confirm the deal and then still wouldn't match it. CS said it was only £10.99 for the first month and then it reverts to £20 after that. Told them this wasn't the case, but still a no go. They have called twice now to try and offer me the online deal.....told them I'm not interested.

i asked earlier in the thread if anyone had tried to combine this deal with the Huawei E5776 at £49.99 posted previously. Decided to go into Currys/PCWorld Macclesfield today having reserved the Huawei. The excellent staff their battled for quite a time but I do seem to have combined the 2 deals and paid £35.00 for the Huawei. The only worrying thing is that on the documentation the rate has come through at £20.99, but I note that previously in this thread the deduction is made by EE. Need to check with them tomorrow that I have 5 gig for £10.99!
