I used to be with EE big mistake for 12 months.

This speeds are terrible and they cap your speed in the evenings.

Good luck with EE if you do take up this deal.

Attempt Quidco anyway (might require playing around with the URL a bit).
Mine has paid out twice in 3yrs for EE broadband with a similar deal.
Shame about the 18 month deal though

BT has got a better deal.Works out at £12.32p a month. For standard broadband.£100 Mastercard free and £50 cashback. Its on Martin Lewis's sight. Also fiber deal is very cheap.

If they are capping speeds they are oversubscribed and don't have the bandwidth to provide all their customers with full speed all the time. Avoid imo.

this is cold from me had broadband from these it was useless also customer services at the bottom of the pile.

Been with EE for just over a year and never had problems with their service. Heat OP

not bad

Had EE ADSL some three years ago, it was as slow as Sky ADSL which I had previously. The best performing ADSL packages I have had so far are from AAISP and Phone Coop Broadband.
AAISP has very knowledgeable 1st line tech support. And Phone Coop has 24/7 tech support - I have called them in the past at 1am and someone answered!

EE use the BT network. Overcrowding is going to be down to the cabinet and local exchange level so you can't tarnish the whole network with one experience. The contract is going to have minimum performance levels so you can challenge the contract if absolutely necessary but determining actual speed before you sign up is going to be tough.

My new house is in a rural location and whilst the cabinet is fibre enabled, its too far away so the best they reckon I can get is 0.5meg adsl. Laughable they still give themselves a +/- 1 meg tolerance!

Every deal that goes hot seems to be a deal a mod has done, heat is probably automatically added so we all think they are epic deals. Keep you eyes peeled....

Don't do it. I never saw my Amazon card last time. EE will just refer you to a third party and say "nothing to do with us!"

You should have chased them up. I found them on facebook (the affiliate) and got my voucher in the end

Yeap - Cold from me for that reason.

had to be the worst broadband I have ever had, decided I would pay the exit fee just to get rid so I rang to give notice and they just cut me off the next day! What a nightmare it took me a month to get back online with Sky I was very unpopular in our house - its put me right off ever switching again.

This is an affiliate deal marketed by "The Marketing Lounge Partnership"

First review I found on them "Total lack of response to my emails. Unable to contact them despite being entitled to a reward gift from Rias, which Rias has confirmed, in writing, that I am entitled to."

What's your link to Marketing Lounge Partnership OP?

The speeds just suck, otherwise I'd sign up

You get a 10GB data boost too for your phone. I'm on virgin currently which is great, anyone on EE face poor speeds/sudden outages?

I was overcharged by EE broadband and they ignored me when I challenged it. To this day I'm out of pocket from them. Be warned.

Horrible company.

Ee is a mobile provider, not broadband. Should have stuck with whats best. Their broadband is poorly, many issues with charges. Had little to no service. It's alright for those who use the internet here and there and don't mind slow speeds although keep a eye out on your bill.

Just switched from BT to EE as we were paying £50 and all we ever used was broadband. Topcashback didn't track when we took out the EE deal and I'm still waiting for my claim to be resolved. TBH the only reason I went with EE was because of their cashback deal... few months in and I can't really tell any difference between EE and BT. The only downside is that I can't seem to get my netgear black hawk router to work.

So it's not possible to choose start date of this broadband?
If I'm gonna go for this deal while a month of my current broadband (BT) is left, will I have to pay a cancellation fee to BT?

I got EE in January, and always wondered why my broadband speed was slow in the evening. I thought they just had limited availability in my area.

If you place an order and contact customer service, they can amend the start date.

Believe it or not, capping with EE is just a myth. It's either due to being in an area with slow ADSL, which is the same with any broadband provider, or you have a fault on your line. Terms and conditions were recently changed to state that there is no longer any traffic management.

The speeds are the same with all providers on the BT network. Could always get fibre if it's available? It's a bit more, but well worth it for better speeds.

EE are one of the only networks not to cap your broadband speeds. Read their traffic management policy lad.

5GB now

So it's 5gb just for one month to use or is it 5gb extra data for 18 months?

5GB extra each month.

Also I switched from EE to Plusnet. They (plusnet) throttle like crazy, terrible, it's only been a month in and I want out. Shouldn't have changed, had no such problems with EE. Paid the line rental in advance so I won't get that back if I change now.

Unless EE let you pay the bill with your amazon voucher, or you immediately need to buy an item in excess of £150 from Amazon, this post is misleading.

Not bad for me //

I signed for this EE broadband and today received an email from BT, where it's says that:
What do I need to pay?
You'll need to pay:
£55.00 for BT broadband equipment charges
£3.30 for BT TV equipment charges
a charge for each month left on the minimum term of your contract. We expect this to be £9.50 by the time you've moved. You could avoid this by staying with us until the end of your contract.

Did anyone else had to pay 55 quid to BT for they're equipment after leaving them??

Doesn't sound normal, if they Insist maybe offer to post their equipment back? Good luck anyhow , if your experiences are anything like mine was with BT you will need it!

It is not the EE network like mobile phone. It is the BT network. EE are just reselling as they are now owned by BT. I get 150 speed now with Virgin. Why should I go to 66 speed with BT or EE even through I have Mobile sim from them. BT is only good where they gave G. Fast trial. But that is not only 1% of the country.
