Buying from EE directly has never been competitive. Might want to double check on sites like Mobiles and e2save to see how much the contract is without the Switch as although it says free, you are definitely paying for it!

Yeah the mate pro I've been looking at from ee is £48 for the same deal. So looks like you're paying £20 per month extra for a 'free' switch
Do need a new phone and if this included the 6t I would probably go for it but the contracts seem inflated
Mobile phones direct are currently offering the Huawei p20 for £48 a month with 50gb
Huawei mate20 lite @ £43 pm

Cold from me sorry,You can get the none lite version with 30gb of data for £33pm, so £240 less over the term (which you can pick a Switch up for) and a much better phone.

So effectively £480 for the switch
If you don't need a new phone but really want to pay monthly for a switch your far better off buying it on PayPal credit with 4 months interest free

"Inclusive Nintendo Switch", certainly not free!
I do get 20% off ee contracts through work but this still doesn't make it a deal.
Interesting deal but cold unfortunately. The switch isn’t free and shouldn’t be advertised as free, it’s included in the monthly price

Nothing is free in this world!
It's not free, you get a crap phone with the monthly cost of a switch built in, cold.
Considering getting a Huawei tablet from EE, but probably cheaper elsewhere
Crap phones, monthly pricing includes the taxation the Switch

Or Argos but now pay later
A Christmas offer at the start of November ?,hell why not push the boat out and call it a summer special.
It is a pretty poor deal. A Christmas deal that you end up paying for over the next 2 years
I won't be doing this but just out of curiosity, are these free gift offers for new customers only or can renewing customers get them as well?
This is a pretty bad deal. Has gone up by £20 a month ! Was looking at upgrading to mate 20 pro via employee discounts of 20 % . Not any more though ! Roll on black friday
How can suppenly adding £20 / month to a contract be classed as a free gift. Come on EE customers are not stupid

No. Poorly worded headline. It's referring to separate deals

Poorly worded or deliberately misleading I wonder.
Cold, if it was a 12 month contract then this would be a good deal, but not worth it for 24 months
Just managed to pick up a p20 pro for £33 a month with 20gb data and no upfront cost along with the free switch just by calling ee and telling them I had seen an offer on carphone warehouse
With the EE 20% discount (NHS, Unidays etc) this seems competitive?
i.e. the P20 Pro with switch for £42/month?
Got a Switch for £150 off Facebook marketplace & a Huawei P20 Lite for £220 from Very.

Pay monthly contracts are always a rip off

So with a 20% discount code (NHS, unidays or even friendly ee sales person) , the p20 lite is £30/month, or £720 over the 2 years.

£720 - 150 (switch) - 220 (p20 lite) - 100 cashback =£250, or just over £10/month for 10gb of data

Still seems good value to me, and the switch is brand new with warranty

I did exactly this too, but as an upgrade (already with EE) via retentions department. The free Switch wasn't mentioned during the call, but I got a text saying I've qualified for it. Did you confirm with them that you were definitely due one? Im worried i'll somehow not qualify (even though I got a text to that effect)

Having spoken to EE, they seemed pretty certain that a price match wouldn't qualify for the switch, any discount other than 20% (NHS, unidays etc) or 30% (friends & family) means it doesn't qualify for the switch.

That said, I managed to get another £5/month discount while still qualifying for the switch, so I don't think the rules are that fixed!

This is what I'm worried about, but I'm just going to not chase it up incase that makes them decide to fight it. As far as I know at the moment, I'm getting one! Fingers crossed.

If you've had the text, that's promising. I've not had any text about the switch, but the agent on the phone said it won't be until 30 days after I get the phone anyway

It was two weeks ago I think when I posted it. But there have been some good switch deals posted again lately, sure there will be plenty this weekend if you check on here.
