EE have announced their replacement for Orange Wednesdays - or whatever it is called on EE

Basically you get a film rental from Wuaki.tv for £1 every wednesday

Same rules apply - text in for your rental code

Customers can take advantage of the EE £1 film offer each week from 30 March by texting ‘film’ to 141 to receive a promotional code which can be redeemed Monday to Wednesday at the Wuaki.tv check out. Texts cost 35p and users have 48 hours from redemption to watch their film rental.

I agree it's a bit pants really!

Cheaper to get Netflix?

The only reason EE are doing this is to make EETV look better as Wuaki.tv is the only app on it for Up to date on demand films.

would have been a great deal 10 or maybe 5 YEARS ago

What's so bad about it? Is there a cheaper way to rent brand new release movies? Personally I find the movie options on Netflix terrible and Now TV takes ages for anything decent to come out. So to be able to rent a new HD release on my Smart TV for £1.35 instead of £3.50-4.50 is a cracking deal. What am I missing?

Have you actually posted this because you think it's a hot deal?
we are on Hot UK Deals

Thanks for posting this mad.dog. It's a great deal for me (new(ish) movie every week for £1.35) so heat added.

KODI aka xbmc!

Heat given. Although ultimately it will depend on how new the movies are. If it applies to brand new releases then it will spank Amazon/Now/Netflix for movie streaming.

I cant see movies which are out in cinema ? Am i missing something.

seems an extremely poor orange Wednesdays substitution! hardly an evening out, sat in front of TV watching a movie I could have no doubt downloaded for free, cold

Ha ha. I'm finding this hilarious. Who'd have thought an EE deal would have got so cold

does this work for those of us with slow broadband, or do you need a minimum speed?
