EE ACTION CAMERA 4G

The 4GEE Action Cam lets you live stream your latest video recordings to your family and friends around the world. The lightweight and compact design makes it the ideal camera for on the go live streaming that experiences a smooth stream over the super-fast 4GEE network. The EE Action Cam comes with a viewfinder watch allowing you to line up your shots before starting the stream.

The EE wrist watch can also be used in the water as it is water resistant for up to 60 metres ideal for capturing those outdoor water sports, whatever the activity the 4GEE Action Cam can record and stream it all. If you don't fancy streaming, the Action Cam lets you store footage on its 2.5 GB internal memory, you can store up to 64 GB on a removable MicroSD card, finally you can also transfer video files using its on-board Wi-Fi options. It's not just about video, the EE Action Cam can take still shots too, the built-in 13 megapixels camera means you can upload all your high quality adventure pics to any destination at 4GEE speed.

I never received the free 32gb card last time, but was happy with the included cases.

Looks good to me shame the camera hasn't got its own LCD display though.

Just bought one from Gearbest though at a similar price and with no watch, so looks good to me - Heated
Review - Support for this device has been discontinued by EE and the App that needs to be used to stream to Facebook Live no longer works. Pity as during the time I used it I found it robust and reliable.
Same comments apply to the EE Capture Cam which uses the same App for live streaming.
If you don't need to live stream either device provides a way of recording video for later viewing
I also read the review, can the camera still stream to the watch though, if it can then the Facebook streaming etc isn't really a big issue as most Action Cams don't have that function anyway

I updated a capture can and the firmware for Facebook streaming is working just fine, just need an update when I first set it up about a month ago
I have this, how you update it?

I have this, how you update it?

I ordered a £1 EE card which came with 250 or 500 mb of date.
Insert SIM card into camera.
Install the EE action cam app on your phone/ tablet.
Connect your phone to the camera (WiFi hotspot - it's annoying, but works).
Via the app, you can now control the camera (configure/ adjust settings) and download the update which is about 1mb

Worked for my 4GEE action cam.
good find
Thanks

The review on the scan CaptureCam page is mine. Unless they've released a very recent upgrade (in the last month) the issue is you cannot get to the log on/authentication page in the software to tell the app your Facebook credentiale in the latest firmware / IOS 10 or IOS 11 .If you had already logged on or use android it may fine.

The camera is on firmware SWEP_GQC2B1A-V01.018.03g_02 (remember mines the capturecam, not this one but the APP is the same) and the IOS app is on 1.056 too

Streaming to the phone in the app is fine, all the controls (bat FB) work fine, as is all the recording to the onboard MicroSD, I used it to recors in timelapse of a 15 hour event (did have it powered externally, dont think the battery will last that long).

I've been working with someone in EE to get the firmware updated they were not sure if its IOS that changed or Facebooks logon pages.

And to update it it has to be on EE's network via a SIM card with some data. After that you can use any network to stream live with it.

So how are they allowed to sell it then? That’s ridiculous
Poor quality camera with a gimmick watch. Better off streaming from the high quality camera with built in viewfinder that you keep in your pocket, otherwise know as your phone.
Shame it's 30fps. At 60fps I'd be ok. I'd rather 120fps for extreme sports. But 30fps is just too slow for me.

God isn't that a ugly watch tho? I'd feel depressed looking at tht. Too clunky!
Can I use this watch to film rides at Disney World water parks do you think?
Great for the kids.....
Thanks just ordered - there's something lurking in the bottom of my pond and I want to find out what it is! This should do the trick

Got one for my son at Xmas when it was on a deal. Good quality and fun.

Is your phone android or iPhone. If it's android how does the app work with the fact you the Wi-Fi is turned off when the Hotspot us turned on?

The initial idea for these was to use a data SIM card in the camera and live stream to the likes of Facebook.
The camera works perfectly well not live streaming, but instead saving the footage to an SD card.
I'm using Android and connected my phone to the camera hotspot via WiFi to configure the settings.
Once done I disconnected my phone and just use the camera as is, saving data to an SD card and viewing the recorded footage by putting the SD card into my laptop.
The video and audio quality is very good.
