Mobile 4G wifi device - Huawei E5776. under monthly option, but i've spoken to Cust Serv and this is on a 1 month rolling contract. Therefore only contracted for the first month! Meaning you can phone and give 1 months notice to cancel contract upon receipt of item. I've checked with customer services and they have confirmed that you are only tied in for the first month and that it is possible to cancel upon receipt of item, without penalties. Went through quidco too, although i'm not sure that it will track with it only being a 30 day contract, but nothing ventured nothing gained :-D These are going on online auction 2nd hand for over £60!

Eligibility to pass a credit check dependant!

Hot OP + its a 4G MiFi Device too ..... :-)

A point to note is that when you get one of these on contract, you get credit checked. Based on past experience, I would go for the PAYG one which t's still a bit pricey at the moment @ £90 .

They do that to make sure u r not bankrupt and to prevent fraud plus it doesn't effect your file in anyway I know as I got a shock the other day when this happened.

I signed one up when it was £24.99, 30 days rolling contract. I was asked to return the device after they sent me a final bill of £79.99 for the device which I have already paid.

I have bought one directly from Amazon at £79.99 I think, original firmware.

Hi
when they processed mine they only took £2 to check the account, it wasn't a proper credit check (thankfully :-D ) don't think they are as rigorous with it only being a 30 day contract

:-D as I don't have the best credit score) don't think they are as rigorous with it only being a 30 day contract. I also clarified how long i was tied into the contract without penalty and was advised it was 30 days.

It wasn't a full credit scoring application, luckily. They only took £2 from my payment card to check, this was the basis of the credit check. £2 was also refunded immediately

The terms and conditions are here: ee.co.uk/con…pdf

Only says that you have to agree to stay with them for the minimum term, ie 30 days....no doubt you'll fall victim when you cancel and either get stung with an early termination fee or end up paying for another month as you need to give 30 days notice.

Presumably you buy it, activate and immedietly give 30 days notice? (I bet you still get charged with 2 months rental)

I got a dongle today (slightly different contract because I needed more data) - phoned up to give 30 days notice, no ETF, no additional charges.

That's good to hear! so you going to unlock and stick another SIM in it?

No I'm going to use it for 20 days and then sell it - I only need it while I wait for the line to be connected in new house.

I bought one from Currys for £29.99 instore , phoned up to cancel the rolling contract after a week, no questions asked about the unit so ive kept it unlocked it and put a 3 sim in it - I got charged one month and one week of £16.99 rental

So im sure there are better deals out there than this
