You have to sign up for a tariff to get this, minimum £10.
I had to use one of these over Christmas when BT let me down with broadband... Works a treat. If you have unlimited data you can use a standard SIM from your phone in it if you want to give WiFi to a group... Or in the car for kids, etc... I found it really handy... Heat! (I had to pay £39 for mine..)
Would a bt sim work in this ?

yes once you get it unlocked for 99p from ebay
Heat added.

I just bought one of these to go with the 25GB rolling monthly data SIM offer EE had on their website the other day.

As a previous poster said, you do need to add a monthly data SIM in order to get the device for £14.99, but you only need to pay for one month's allowance. I just took out the cheapest (£10 a month for 1GB of data) and phoned EE to give 30 days notice of cancellation as soon as I left the shop.

End result: Osprey Mini 2 for £24.99 (£14.99 plus £10 for one month of data). I didn't even bother to open the new SIM packaging - just put in the 25GB a month one I already had.

A good deal as far as I'm concerned.
