EE retention 4GB data, unlimited minutes & texts £8

Found 15th May
Called EE to see what deals they had for a friend. She was on t-mobile but the retentions team agreed to £7 for 2GB, unlimited minutes and texts on EE. As I hesitated he said that he could also do 4GB, unlimited minutes and texts for £8, which we took.

Wasn't that for £10 a month?
Last November I managed to get 20GB for £11.99 but was told that they couldn’t get near that this time.
Great price heat op
You should have been able to get 10GB for £7. Did that in March.
I am paying £11pm for this, so great deal. I am going to leave them when my contract comes to an end in August unless they can match plusnet 5gb plan.
Been paying £7 for EE contact, but over the years they've upped it slowly. Now its £10. So will give retentions a call.
Managed to get this deal yesterday, didn't think to start a HUKD post.
My contract runs out next month ....only terrible early upgrade offers online ....when can I start negotiations ????
I done this and also got bt sport free for a year included

I'd start when your contract actually expires but I got my £7 deal via their chat.

Wow... I didn't know that, Thanks
I have recently moved from EE to Three, been around few weeks now. Three is horrendous with speed. I called EE that time but they couldnt match the deal: 12GB, Unlimited texts and minutes for around 9ish after cashback. To be fair, I would be fine with 4GB data as well. Fair to call EE again and ask?
Hmm
I have had an 2011 old T-mobile plan - 600m, 500txt, booster that I could swap every month be either 60mins Euro/Aust calling and unlimited data which apparently was capped to 3gb and this was the reason I kicked of with them. I was 2 hours on the phone until I was offered for £8 - Unlimited calls, Unlimited texts plus 4gb Data and for my trouble an extra 6GB to make it a total 10GB. I suppose it is a way for them to get out of the unlimited data/fair use capped to 3GB!! This fair use Malacky only happened a couple of years after I signed the contract. By the way they are not offering the MAX plan with the SIM only any more. MAX plans only are offered with a handset. Max plans allow calling beyond Europe.

Always 1
If I change to them, how soon can I start trying to get these deals?

Nope. £8. It was discussed on the SIM only mega thread as well, so it wasn't just me that got it.
I was offered this today when retention’s rang me back.
They also offered me
2G and unlimited txts and mins for 7 a month
1G unlimited txts and mins for 5 a month
the guy said it was a special half price offer atm. Thanks op for the heads up!
Just tried to get another decent deal on my 2 x sim only with EE and no look at all.
Currently pay £18.15 per sim for unlim mins, texts and 25gb on EE Max plan, free EU calls and texts and 15gb free EU data.
Best they offered was 20gb for £18 why she thought that was a good deal compared to what I already get is beyond me or 40gb for £20 which isnt that bad but i'm happy with 25gb but want to reduce the monthly payments
Got offered 4GB for £9 last night. Had already been offered it for £8 last week which they honoured.

Looking at the account it's a £17 a month contract with a £9 loyalty discount, is this how it's been applied to other people's accounts?

Was on a similar deal previously but was hoping this one was £8 ongoing without the loyalty discount, rather than having to go through similar negotiation next year.

Yes the loyalty discount is on there and should remain on the account after the 12month contract period provided you don't change the contract. If I were you I would confirm this as I can't find it printed anywhere, wouldn't want a nasty surprise in 12 months. I'd be interested to know.
