EE retention deal, 100gb data, unlimited calls and texts for £20 PM for 12 months (£240 Total)

I've decided to join the Samsung upgrade program so I get a new phone every year and I am looking to get a SIM only contract to go with it. The best deal I can find is the Unlimited everything deal from Three. I just rang up EE to see if they could match that and they said the best they can do is 100GB PM for £20 which may benefit some people who prefer EE. I've never had problems with the EE network before bit I'm deciding whether to take that offer or move over to three. Has anyone had any expericne with Three before?

I though I'd share this as it may benefit some people.

**please note that this deal is not available online, you will have to contact customer services or go into store**

Maybe try going to the chat and ask them there? EE customer service has been good to me however I've not tried to cancel my contract so I can't say whether the retention deals are good to everyone/most people
What's the Samsung upgrade plan and how much does it cost?
I've just signed up for this as I was going to leave EE to join 3 on the unlimited plan, the retentions line offered me this and as they have better network coverage I went with it!
Heat from me.

I was interested in the extra roaming too, as I visit Canada regularly.

Voda have something similar for £25 a month, which is why I said I would think about it

Haha well for me, EE have been great, but the prices are overpriced tbh. My contract ends on 15th March this year and I'm looking to go SIM only. I'm quite happy with my s8+ and have no need to upgrade just yet.

Yes they do, I was offered 30GB and 40GB, with unlimited everything through retention team for £25 and £30 respectively! This was last month!

They are VERY poor! Quick at taking money, but not so at rectifying their problems and refunding.

Speed both in UK and roaming in EU and BT Sport. I have been on rolling contract for 2 years now on MAX plan 20GB. Everytime I called the retention team they have said that no other MAX plan offers can get close to this interms of price which is £22.05. Followed by them advising me to no bother upgrading as I have BT sport forever.
I’ve got 40gb and unlimited calls and texts for £20 pm. Might try for the 100gb

Just spoke to EE and the max plan renewals no longer includes the 5 non-eu countries for roaming.

Pretty poor really

This isn't true.
Max is available as an add on for £10 a month on sim only I was told. And therefore, after my contract ended in Jan I decided to stay on my £13.99 plan which gives me 12GB data on a Max Plan. Unfortunately, subject to RPI increase this year but hey ho.
"Has anyone had any expericne with Three before? "

Yes I asked to cancel when I was out of contract due to signal issues. They agreed that there was a problem with the mast near my house and had been for 6 or 7 (!!) months, they also had no clue when it would be fixed, just "soon".

They agreed there was nothing they could do about my signal at work as it was a problem when inside.

So I had no signal at home or at work. His response was "Well you don't spend all of your time at home or at work do you?"

I sighed and asked them to please let me cancel.
I managed to get the 100 GB data plan from EE, wasn't easy at all to tell you that. First of all I had like 30 mins on a phone with a lady, that she said I was on a contract, even I knew I wasn't, I stayed for each month to pay same amount, until I find a suitable contract, as mine was finished. She tried to speak to someone for the upgrade team but was denied, but in second person she managed to get through for upgrade. I was offered 100 GB data plan for £20, it does exist. But I had to pay extra £12 as I share a second number with data and calls with my mother, total is £32.00 a month. Thanks again

That £10 add on only gives you the +5 roaming countries and it comes with a 6 months minimum term, if you want the x2 4g speed then you need to add the go faster for £2 extra. so £12 extra to make it like for like max
Can confirm EE are offering this. They’re calling it “Price Matching” however it’s only available if you’re at the end of your contract.

Do you reckon if I try to cancel in June when I'm out of contract I'll get a retention deal for the amount of data I get now, at a lower price?

I'm on 20GB, unlimited mins and texts for £16 a month (should be £20, using a Unidays discount for 20% off)

I want to try VOXI in June really, I want a no contract service so it depends what I get offered.

Ah I see. Do you mean they have one retention deal for everyone which will change weekly, or the main deals that anyone can get (listed on website and advertised in-store) change weekly? Or both?
I have gotten the s10 for £29/month and £14/month ee sim with 24gb data unlimited text and calls

If 5g launches by then we could see some very different plans.
Tempted. Ordered the 100GB Vodaphone SIM only deal last week. Haven't used it yet. Was considering to use my current EE line for work. Might give them a call tomorrow to see if they can offer me a new SIM only deal while I move my current number to my company account.

It is, I'm on essentials and it's underwhelming to say the least. I asked if I could upgrade for a priority signal but their technical team said this isn't possible anymore.
