Sorry about the lengthy post...be kind!

I've just phoned EE to get a PAC code.
I was asked why I wanted to leave and I told the guy that I was leaving for a deal with mobiles.co.uk of unltd calls and txts and 5GB data and 500mb data a month abroad but the slower data speeds for £9.50/m. This deal was a cashback by redemption deal so had to submit my bills every 3 months and then they'd send a cheque which I then had to cash. I knew I was never going to do this so rang EE to see if they'd match but didn't think they'd get anywhere close.

The guy went away for a bit and come back with the EE top sim-only deal MAX (highest speeds) Unltd calls and texts and 4GB Data which can be fully used abroad in the EU all for £10.99.......I bit his hand off!!!

I also had a sharer sim for my partner which was costing me £12 month and it used my data. He gave this its own sim and reduced the cost to £10.99 as well....that was a no brainer as this now gets full data abroad too and its cheaper than sharing!!!

I did ring 2 weeks previous and was told they couldn't better £22 + £12 sharer sim so it just shows you can get good deals with these people, just do your homework beforehand and get a person which wants to help.

You must get through to the PAC code at retentions for this to work.

Good luck everyone

Very lucky

sounds a good deal chap if you need that amount of data and calls be interesting to hear if anyone else gets it as you sy need to do homework before ringing to show them you have a better deal to move too!! even then it does not always work as you found out.

before you ask, the reason why your deal gets cold is that more than 5 threads have been posted for EE retention deal with 14.95 for 20gb data, unlimited call and texts.

On the other hand, 4gb all available to use abroad seems really nice. Assuming when you say abroad, you mean in EU.
apparently that's what MAX means. Awsome!

HOT!

I do note in my post that the data abroad is EU

Refuse everything, and wait for them to ring you. I've got a date on my calendar for when to accept the deal from Virgin Media before they disconnect me.
I've no plan to leave (though I will so I can come back as a new customer next time, if necessary), but I'll play it out as long as it takes to get a deal I'm happy with.
