Called up to cancel my EE contract yesterday as I found a Vodafone sim only for £19 with a Amazon voucher for unlimited text, mins and 4gb data.

I asked for my Pac code after EE could only offer me same deal for £23. Then I asked for the text of the code

I got a call 4hrs later from retentions who offered me unlimited text and calls plus 4gb data for £11.99 a month on a rolling contract (which I can keep for as long as I want) or 12 month contract which once it expires price goes back up. This is a 4G contract

They also offered to give me another line on same deal which my partner is taking.

If you do this and buy a iPhone 6s like she is doing it works out about £40 a month for 64gb version on finance over 24 months plus the 11.99 contract.

iPhone 6s 64gb £619 finance is £29 a month over 2 years.
EE sim only contract £11.99 a month for 2 years and over.

£41 total..

Best deal for 6S with a 64gb is around £44 a month with a big upfront payment or £55 with £10 upfront payment over 2 years on 02 (that's what partner was offered on phone this morning)

Im paying this price for a cashback deal but 10GB data. Im in my final month now so will be hoping to call EE and get a retentions deal for at least the same price of £11.99 WITHOUT the cashback malarkey. 4GB doesn't cut the mustard for me, i've gone over 10GB once this year already.

do you not have WiFi at home or where you work?

isn't there a cut off when u reach your data limit on ee? I'm sure they sold me contract with that

if 4GB puts you off, simply ask how much data you use on average over the term. They'll be able to tell you. I was looking at 4gb data sims on my three contract, but was shocked to see my average was 8gb a month. (spotify while out in the car does it). So just sticking with the price I got it for last year £15 a month, 200mins/unlimited texts and unlimited data which is just a rolling contract now as the term is up. Will see what's about

EE don't have capped contacts. You might get a text as you get close to your limit (but the billing system can lag by as much as 24 hours), but don't expect them to stop you using data when you hit your bundle amount,it won't happen. they just change you on a per meg basis...

How can a new customer get this deal? My mum is with ee maybe I can get a second line and do it that way?

Nope price includes 4G on EE its 4G only network not like t-mobile before it.

Nice I just called and said I found a Vodafone sim only for £19 with a Amazon voucher for unlimited text, mins and 10GB data. and they've offered me 10GB of data instead of 4GB for £11.99 a month with the unlimited text and calls

I'm hoping 3's retentions come up with a similar thing for me when i phone to cancel later this month, Called today to go through my options as upgrading with them is not really an option as they want minimum £31/month where i currently pay £22 and usually sell the phone i have then pay anything up to £150 up front to keep monthly cost down - 3 don't work like that even though i could possibly go elsewhere and get something decent for around £26. Their option as i use over 5gb data most months was 200 minutes unlimited texts and data for £17 which is exactly what they sell sim only online for...If they can know a quid off that i think ill go for it though as the other deals ive seen on uswitch etc are only 2gb and with 3 i get tethering as well..
Gonna call within the week and ask for a PAC code to see if they offer anything better else await a retentions call before bottling it and phoning back to take the £17/month one

This is untrue. On my EE 4G Extra plan, if I run out of data I will hit a payment wall when I try to use the internet. It will prompt me to purchase additional data (£1.99 for 1gb, £6.99 for 5gb If I remember correctly?). There are no per megabyte charges. They stopped doing that years ago, at least on on Post-pay they did.

I tried calling ee and they could only offer me it at £22, ask for pak code and no one has call me back yet. I'm end of my 12 month sim only deal

Took a few hours, he told me they normally call back day after.

It's also Saturday and retention team don't work weekends.

as a new customer joining up or are you an existing EE customer? tia

rang EE upon seeing your post, would not even entertain 10gb! so I said thanks and says goodbye.

ditto. when i moved into my new house i had to wait 30days for my broadband to be sorted so i used my ee 4g and once id done my limit the only way i could use the net, before my new month started, was to give them £1.99 for x amount of data

Voucher code RE20 doesnt work???

I've just been on the phone. First Lady wanted £22.99 pcm for this little lot. Second one (retentions) got it down to £15.99 pcm. Requested (and got) me pax code. We'll see if anyone calls.

I havent received a call for a week from retentions after getting my pac code, so ive just used it and joined id mobile, their loss, was spending £40 a month with them too.

There is also another retention deal for £4.99 (12 months) with 250min, unlimited text and 500MB 4g data.

Its user specific. I requested my PAC code 2 wks ago after 2 year contract was ending. Offered me a pathetic discount so I've decided to leave. They didn't seem intent on keeping me

The cheapest my mum was offered for this plan was £17.99 so she said no thanks and requested a pac code! It's absolutely unbelievable ee are offering different prices to all different people...

Ok so what's the best route network wise now, any suggestions?

And this is why I don't tend to give retention deals heat. Its just a deal offered to a specific person, some people may manage to get the same deal, others will get offered something worse, and some may even get something better. Its not a special deal, just what mobile operators generally do.

Is this a real deal? Any chance of a cheeky link

EE retentions were usless with me. Been with them for years and they wouldn't even match the contract I was on to keep me... and that was nothing too special.

Maybe the weekend team aren't as good as the mon to fri team...

voted cold. ive no idea how you got this deal. mine runs out in a week and spoke to three EE Customer advisors and the lowest they would go was 17.99 for the same tarriff. They said there is nothing on the computer to even suggest a lower deal.
I wouldnt get your hopes up folks. If that deal worked easily for retention customers I would vote it scorching hot.

Sorry mate you're wrong. When you hit your limit you get a web page redirect to addons.ee.co.uk where you can buy more data.

I've just been speaking to the retention team about a couple of contracts which have recently come out of their term. I got 500m, 500mb, unlimited texts for £7.49 on a 12 month contract. They didn't seem to have much else on offer for us, but that deal didn't seem too bad for our usage.

use code 6MODISCOUNT for half price for 6 months on the 25.99 sim only deal 12months

10gb data 4g+ unl mins and texts

£12.99 for first 6 months

works out at £233.88 for the year or 19.49 a month

topcashback offers £52.50 which would make it around 15 a month

Ask for your pac code your get a call from people who can offer better if you been with them for a while.

I got £23.99 deal then they have given me £10 a month discount. Then offered me second line for same price £12.

I was offered this retention deal by ee, but i have been with them for a while and I was already on a 5gb plan. I left and went with 3.

They do call you up, I was called about 3 or 4 times but they would not budge from that deal and I wanted to try a different network.

re20 deal dont work on website put code in and says to try another code.

I think EE is a bit hit or miss really. When I originally moved from them to Virgin (I was paying £15 p/m for something stupid like 100 mins, 100mb, unlimited texts) after I told them what I was getting (1200mins, 1gb, Unlimited) for £12 they said it wasn't even remotely possible and I never got a call back. Keep in mind this was a few years ago when T-Mobile and Orange made up the bigger part of their business.

Great deal, if you can get this - I'm currently down to £6 for 250 mins, 1gb data and unlimited texts on a Virgin Sim only contract, though I'm not a heavy user so I didn't really have much way in terms of bargaining power for a higher end tariff mind you
